Scratchboard Kitchen (5 W Campbell St), wants to celebrate the seasonal flavors of the Midwest by sourcing as locally as possible, is bringing dinner options to the Northwest suburbs. The downtown Arlington Heights-based restaurant is offering a dinner service Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the addition of a Saturday night service by the end of August. 

Restaurant guests will have access to exclusive offerings that include half-priced bottles of wine on Thursday nights and a happy hour with cocktail specials from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Friday. In addition to the dinner menu, Scratchboard Kitchen will also offer a kid’s menu featuring classic meals, including chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and buttered gnocchi with seasonal fruit.

Scratchboard Kitchen dinner food menu includes:

    • Crispy Chickpeas - lime, paprika
    • Pickle Plate - housemade seasonal pickles 
    • Cheese Plate - pecorino cheese, cherry blossom almonds, peaches, Heaven’s Honey 
    • Sourdough Focaccia - whipped n’duja 
    • Burrata - strawberry, sourdough, fennel pollen
  • Vegetables
    • Grilled Artichoke - spicy mayo
    • Whipped Ricotta - sugar snap peas, radishes, carrots
    • Heirloom Tomatoes - goat cheese, peaches, radishes, dill
    • Ramp Caesar - rye crumble, boquerones, ramp dressing
    • Mushroom Gnocchi - peas, mushrooms, chili crisp
  • Proteins
    • Short Rib Melt - giardiniera, aioli, provolone
    • Lamb Burger - feta cheese, dill yogurt, arugula, olives
    • Fried Chicken - grits, hot honey, herbs 
    • Tea Brined Pork Chop - strawberries, bbq sauce and cabbage slaw
  • Seafood
    • Oysters - green strawberry mignonette 
    • Grilled Prawns - sumac butter, fennel pollen
    • Caviar Board - potato chips, french onion dip
