A Closer Look

Chicago's bars and restaurants are suffering. As many are aware, the federal government recently passed into law major acts designed to provide assistance to small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of this assistance includes a paycheck protection program and  economic injury disaster loans, which can be used to pay mortgages, rent, payroll, accounts payable, employee sick leave, utilities and the like. You can reference Sections 7(a) and 7(b) of the Small Business Act for more information. The loan applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis, so businesses are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Chicago Food Magazine wants to ensure the Chicago food and beverage community remains vibrant and successful. We hope that businesses in need will consult an attorney, bank or advisor to ensure they get the assistance they require.
