Grass Root Events, a non-for-profit organization, is hosting Chicago’s first ever Chicago Michelada Festival held July 7-8, 2018 in the Pilsen Neighborhood of Chicago.

This one of a kind family-friendly and dog-friendly event will welcome a projected 50,000 guests throughout the weekend. Festivities will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-10pm. Although admission to the Chicago Michelada Fest is free, Grass Root Events is partnering with the Illinois Dream Fund as this year’s beneficiary. Entrance donations are encouraged. A portion of proceeds will go directly to support the Illinois Dream Fund.

Festivalgoers can look forward to a variety of vendor tents, ranging from food and beverage, to local artists and pop-up shops. To highlight the richness of Mexican cultural, Michelada Fest will feature local and culturally authentic vendors showcasing art, jewelry, and traditional Mexican apparel. No Miche’ Fest is complete without the pairing of tacos to a cold Michelada. Guest can expect 10 of the best taquerias in Chicago showcasing everyone’s favorite street food, the taco. Enjoy seven different styles of Micheladas crafted by Big Mich Michelada Mix. To promote an inclusive menu, the festival will have a variety of vegan and vegetarian options.

Mark your calendars and clear your schedules for a weekend brought to you by Tecate, Lagunitas & Xfinity. Expect fun activities for the whole family and musical performances by some of Chicago’s best local Dj’s, a live Mariachi, Tamborazo, and special performance by ¡ESSO! AFROJAM FUNKBEAT
