SafeHouse Chicago is now open.

Securely headquartered below the city and the entrance hidden in plain sight in the heart of River North at 60 E. Ontario, a mélange of fact and fiction is distilled from secret agent spy lore.

OPERATION: Entry
Operatives need to find the red door at 60 E. Ontario, and once discovered, provide the password to Moneypenny or perform a top-secret clearance test to gain entry. Once inside, operatives embark on a one-of-a-kind mission as they create their own agent name, decode ciphers, crack safes, use tech gadgets, play roulette, undergo interrogation, and solve a case, all while drinking drinks, perhaps even a martini…shaken, not stirred.

MISSION: Observation
As guests walk in for their mission, they are greeted by a world of espionage. The Interpol Bar features a glowing Old Globe world map as the backdrop, and monitors throughout SafeHouse stream live footage from Moneypenny’s desk to watch other agents executing the clearance test for entrance and more. Original espionage artifacts are an integral part of the décor, including the flight deck from a spy plane donated by the man who flew it in WWII, as well as a piece of the Berlin Wall secured from covert operatives. From the Spybrary to the Cone of Silence booth to the Interrogation Room, every aspect of the design has been tinkered, tailored, soldiered, and spied. Interactive elements such as a Gadget Bar featuring a magician, and “futuristic” technology, are fused in an atmosphere where food and signature drinks unite guests as they embark on their mission.

ASSIGNMENT: Libations + Rations
While out in the field, agents work up an appetite and seek refuge inside SafeHouse Chicago to sit with spy food and cocktails. From burgers to a variety of entrees including The Kingsman (48-hour braised short rib) and A License to Kill Mac & Cheese, to C4 Cheese Curds, Golden Gun Cornbread, Cuban Missile Crisis Sandwich and “007” Layer Salad. Thirsty? The cocktail menu has spies covered with options such as The Great Spytini, Get Smart, Spy’s Demise, and Mission Impossible shareable cocktails. Junior spies can opt for Goldfingers chicken tenders, Juni Special burger, Carmen Cortez baked mac & cheese or Uncle Machete taco salad.
