Roots Handmade Pizza has joined forces with Crafty Women Chicago to present “Chug It Like A Lady” on September 27. The special evening, taking place at the Roots Lincoln Square location, will raise funds to support GirlForward, a community dedicated to creating and enhancing opportunities for girls who have been displaced by conflict and persecution.
Crafty Women Chicago is represented by women in the beer and cider industry who aim to educate and promote beer culture and related professions for women. The group also raises funds and awareness for charities assisting women of many different backgrounds, including this upcoming “Chug It Like A Lady” event.
The evening features a line up of beer and cider from Begyle, Maplewood, Metropolitan, Pollyanna, and Virtrue among others, as well as Roots signature pizzas and other tasty bites. $1 from a selection of twelve delicious beers on tap will be donated to GirlForward.
Additionally, the evening will include a raffle with prizes including rare beers, brewery tours, gift cards and more. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at $5 for 5 or $20 for an arm's length, with all proceeds going towards GirlForward.
