ROOF on theWit, the sky-high rooftop, perched on the 27th floor of theWit Hotel at 201 N. State Street, announces the opening of their brand new Rosé Garden pop up that will launch this Memorial Day weekend and run through Labor Day. The Rosé Garden will be set on the private patio, decked with shades of pink, white and red roses on ROOF’s Hangover outdoor platform, surrounded by glass windows and views of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan. The Rosé Garden will introduce an experience to guests with a collection of Rosé offerings.

The Rosé Garden will debut on May 24th with a ROOF Rosé Garden Tasting Experience. Entry to this event will include a Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial Split to sip while sitting in the roses and sampling three passed bites from Executive Chef Nathan Sears. Paired with the flavors of the first glass, Chef Sears has handcrafted a Jamón Iberico Breadstick, a Kumomoto Oyster and Beet ‘Tartare’. From there, a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rosé for each guest will be paired with Chef Sears’ Tomato and Gruyere Tart with Fennel Jam, making for a great Rosé Garden experience, to be enjoyed with live DJ entertainment and violin performances.

To top off the grand tasting experience, guests will be poured a glass of the exclusive Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame Rosé 2008 to enjoy– making the ROOF Rosé Garden the only place in the city pouring this Rosé by the glass. Executive Pastry Chef Toni Roberts rounds out the evening by presenting for all in the Rosé Garden a private demonstration of her Cherries Jubilee Flambe, made with Hennessy and served with an ice cream pop and crumble.

If your sweet tooth is craving more, you are in luck. All guests will go home with a special treat from Chef Toni herself – a to-go Macaron with Cucumber Gin Ganache and Rose Jelly, adorned with chocolate rose petals.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Rosé Garden to our guests,” said Piers Smyth, Beverage Director of theWit. “Each Rosé selection has been carefully handpicked to deliver a supreme tasting experience. Our selections are among the rarest in the country and we can’t wait to introduce this exceptional collection to the heart of Chicago.”

Tastings will be limited to 25 tickets and can be purchased on Eventbrite for $232.76 at https://rosegardenonroof.eventbrite.com.

Regular hours of operation are Mon – Fri 4 pm – 2 am, Sat: 2pm – 3am, Sun: closed.
