River Roast(315 N. LaSalle St.,) will host their From The Cellar Wine Dinner on Tuesday, September 12 at 6 p.m. The dinner features a crafted menu by Executive Chef Jason Qureshi to complement the wines from Booker Vineyard in Paso Robles, California.
Throughout the meal, the founder, farmer, and winemaker of Booker Vineyard and Wines, Eric Jensen, will guide guests through the wine tasting experience.
The four course menu begins with a plate of Beef Tartare: Sesame Crackers Za'atar Crème, Pickled Pears, & Green Apple. Paired with Oublie Red Wine.
Next, Seared Diver Scallop featuring Black Garlic Butter Vinaigrette, Smoked Trout Caviar, & Herbed Sourdough Crumbs, paired with My Favorite Neighbor Chardonnay.
As the night progresses, the Sous Vide Duck, a Duck Breast complemented by Crispy Potatoes, Plum Jus, & Fine Herbs. This third course is paired with Fracture Red Wine.
For a finale, the Goat Cheese Cheesecake with Salted Caramel and Apples, paired with a Harvey and Harriet White Blend.
