DineAmic Restaurant Group

DineAmic will be celebrating the achievements and contributions of female winemakers by offering guests specially priced pours from women in wine.

Corporate Lead Sommelier for Greek Brands, Marsha Wright, has curated a selection of wines from female winemakers, to showcase at both LYRA in Chicago Fulton Market and Taverna VIOLI in Oakbrook. Guests have the opportunity to explore specially priced by-the-glass and by-the-bottle pours from these trailblazing women, while also learning about their backgrounds and achievements thanks to short bios accompanying each wine description.

Marsha’s inspiration for this initiative came from a disappointing realization that only 18% of winemakers are female. She is “proud to highlight some of the fabulous women in wine, offering highly sought-after and delicious wines while supporting gender diversity in the industry.”

At Lyra, imbibers will find selections from Laura Fontaine at Chandon and Maggie Kruse at Jordan Winery. Over at Taverna VIOLI, guests can enjoy a taste of Alice Tetienne’s work at Henriot, Tami Lotz from Mumm Napa and more.

Marsha believes that celebrating Women's History Month is not only about acknowledging the past but also about recognizing and supporting the women who are shaping the future. Through this month-long initiative, DineAmic aims to further the ongoing dialogue surrounding gender equality in the winemaking industry.

At just eight years old, Lulu worked alongside her grandmother Clarita Vasquez to create the recipe that would later bring Chicago Cesars’ El Mero Mole. Growing up, Senora Lulu loved working alongside her grandmother in the fonda, honing her culinary skills that she would later pass down to future generations, which would eventually inspire the creation of Cesar’s restaurant.
