Remedy Celebrates 10 Years in Bucktown

Remedy will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a week of special events, cocktails and limited-edition merchandise from Monday, Aug. 10 through Sunday, Aug. 16.

Since opening in Bucktown in 2016, Remedy has become known for its cocktail program, wine list, rotating selection of local craft beer and late-night service, remaining one of the neighborhood's few cocktail bars serving drinks until 4 a.m. To mark the milestone, the bar will host themed events throughout the week while bringing back several retired cocktails from its archives.

The celebration begins Monday, Aug. 10, with a Pizza Party Happy Hour featuring complimentary pizza beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, will feature an $8 Cocktail Night showcasing Remedy favorites.

Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 12, guests can participate in a collaborative art project as Remedy unveils a large paint-by-numbers-style mural of the bar. Visitors will be invited to help complete the artwork throughout the week using paint markers provided on-site. The mural will remain on display until finished.

On Thursday, Aug. 13, Remedy will launch its "A Decade of Delicious Beverages" menu, bringing back several former signature cocktails for a limited time. Featured drinks include:

• The Remedy – Gin, Lillet, dry curaçao, Malört, lemon and simple syrup.
• The Bronson – Vodka, Chareau aloe liqueur, lemon, crème de violette, pomegranate liqueur and simple syrup.
• The Owlington – Rum, banana liqueur, coconut cream, lime and pineapple.

Throughout the anniversary week, guests can also enjoy $10 Green Chartreuse shots and a selection of $10 specialty cocktails.

Friday, Aug. 14, will feature an expanded edition of Remedy's Golf for Gift Cards Happy Hour, giving guests additional opportunities to win gift cards, merchandise and other prizes through the bar's signature putting challenge.

The celebration concludes Saturday, Aug. 15, with a tattoo pop-up from Joey Dee Tattoo, offering Remedy- and bar-themed flash tattoos for $50 from 8 p.m. until late.

To commemorate the anniversary, Remedy will also release two limited-edition 10th Anniversary T-shirts, available throughout the week for $10 each while supplies last.
