What to know about Raised, an Urban Rooftop Bar Launches ‘Après This Way’ Ski Lodge Activation During Winter Season
Raised, An Urban Rooftop Bar, situated on the third floor of the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel at 1 W. Wacker Drive, is hosting ski enthusiasts of all calibers to experience the Alpines without ever leaving the city with the official launch of its Apres This Way indoor winter activation.
Running for the duration of the winter season, the interior of Raised, An Urban Rooftop Bar will be completely transformed into a winterized lodge featuring faux fur and faux bearskin rugs as you enter, along with various Birch trees sprinkled throughout to create an immediate cabin ambiance. A collection of accent throws and bolster pillows help elevate the seating area, with various lanterns. Birch and ash tree bark elements are also incorporated to mimic the feeling of being mountainside.
To further elevate the space, guests will also have access to a special Happy Hour and enjoy après ski, available Mondays through Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. From novice to expert, ski bunnies of all levels will have the opportunity to sip on select beer, wine, and rotating old fashioned options. Exclusive themed cocktails will also be available, including Cabin Fever, with Chairmen’s Reserve Spiced Rum, Malbec, rosemary, clove, and smoke; Under the Jalisco Sun, mixed with Arette Reposado Tequila, Italicus, Dolin Dry, and Bittermen’s hopped grapefruit bitters; and Ferdinand the Bull,complete with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry, tamarind, egg white, and angostura bitters. Guests can also warm up with a selection of hot cocktails including PB&T,with Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Distillerie Du Peyrat Cognac, oolong tea, blueberry vinegar, and honey, served in a tea cup; Santiago’s Way, mixed with Havana Club Anejo Rum, coconut, cream, vanilla, and spices, served in a mug; among others. Spirit Free cocktails are also available, and include Ginger and Root, with carrot, lime, coconut, ginger beer, and garam masala; and Demeter’s Daughter, with pomegranate, lemon, egg white, rose water, and Lagunitas hop water.
