Thanksgiving is almost here so take the pie pressure off by pre-ordering your pies at these local Chicago restaurants and food halls.
The Dearborn This pie program, for Thanksgiving and December holidays, includes your choice of key lime (graham cracker crust, key lime curd, vanilla cheesecake, toasted meringue), dutch apple (traditional pie crust, Granny Smith & gala apple filling, streusel topping), brown sugar pumpkin (traditional pie crust, spiced pumpkin custard, mascarpone whip cream), and bourbon pecan (butter crust, caramelized pecans, brown sugar, bourbon). Pre-order by calling 312-384-1242 at least 48 hours in advance. Pies are $35 each and are available now through January 2, 2019.
The Dearborn also just launched the following warm drinks for the holiday season to help you stay warm while you imbibe: gluhwein ($13), Chef Julianna’s hot chocolate steamed to order (can be boozy or not boozy, $5; $13 with alcohol), and banane au chocolat ($13).
Forum 55 Denise from Cozy Cottage Cuisine, an Apron Exchange vendor at Forum 55, will be there taking orders Wednesday, November 14 - Friday, November 16. Forum 55 is a Loop food hall at 55 E. Monroe and Apron Exchange is an incubator platform that supports women and minority owned food start-ups as they launch and grow their business. While there, drop off your donations to Toys for Tots for the holiday toy drive.
