Porkchop, a southern food and BBQ mainstay in Chicago, is now open at 1132 W Grand Ave in West Town.

To celebrate their opening, the restaurant is offering 20% off on in-house dining and carry-out orders between now and March 1, 2021; BYOB permitted while the location awaits approval for its liquor license. Delivery is also available through DoorDash, GrubHub and Uber Eats.

The menu features hardwood smoked pork, beef, chicken and seafood, Southern dishes like hush puppies, catfish nuggets, and fried chicken, and prepared steaks, chops and burgers. All Porkchop locations offer 20% to military personnel and first responders, and this new location is no exception.

The 3,300-sqare-foot-space features a large a dine-in space, a cabaret-style space that features jazz, burlesque, magic shows and more. When the weather warms up, outdoor seating will be available.

Proprietor Jovanis Bourgoub, a native of Paris, describes Porkchop as a mashup of the French joie de vivre (the joy of living in the moment) and the quirkiness of rural counterculture. His goal is simple – be the instigator of great times in a relaxed, unapologetically unpretentious environment. The restaurant also operates restaurants in Midway airport and its recently-opened space at 4551 N Pulaski in Albany Park.
