Plant Chicago, a local nonprofit, will be hosting its 2nd annual Harvest Dinner on Thursday, October 5th from 6:00-9:00pm at Low Res Studio (1821 W. Hubbard). Plant Chicago develops circular economies of food production, energy conservation and material reuse through education and research. Plant Chicago is honoring the work of individuals and organizations that are building a local circular economy, including the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District for their work to recapture phosphorus at the municipal level.
The event will feature local food and drink that minimizes or re-uses “waste.” The brief program will feature updates on Plant Chicago programs and comments from the evening’s honorees.
Proceeds from the event support Plant Chicago’s year-round farmers market, education & research programming.
Featured chefs include: Iliana Regan (Elizabeth Restaurant), Eric Mansavage (Farmhouse Chicago), Tyler Houston (James Hotel), Abra Berens (Granor Farms), and David Belkin (PleasantHouse Bakery).
Never miss an eat.
