Perry’s Restaurants, a Texas-based restaurant group, has announced its third Chicago-area location, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, at Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills. Located on a freestanding site at the southwest corner of Ring Drive and Milwaukee Avenue, Perry’s Vernon Hills is set to open in late 2023.

In 1979, the Perry family opened a meat market in Houston called Perry’s Butcher Shop and Deli. In 1986, Chris Perry persuaded his father Bob to add dining tables, which eventually led to an expansion and the opening of a second market. Chris opened the first Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in 1993. Perry’s expanded to Chicago, with locations in Oak Brook and Schaumburg as well as in Denver, Nashville, Raleigh, Coral Gables, Birmingham, and across Texas. In addition to opening in Vernon Hills in late 2023, Perry’s is also slated to open in Richmond, Virginia in 2023.

The restaurant will accommodate up to 350 people and feature four private dining rooms, for corporate functions and family celebrations. Guests will be able to visit Perry’s Bar 79, named after the year Perry’s was founded, and offering handcrafted cocktails and wines including Perry’s reserve wines at the island bar with glass walls that open to patio dining that will seat approximately 45 guests.

Perry’s will offer a variety of steaks – including True Japanese A-5 Wagyu Beef, Prime USDA-Aged and Certified Upper Choice – tableside presentations and carvings, as well as a seven-finger-high pork chop. Guests can customize their experience by choosing from additions for their steak as well as select their portion size from 13 side dishes. Other option include seafood entrees created by Perry’s Master Development Chef Rick Moonen.

Operating Hours
Dinner service will be available Monday thru Thursday from 4 – 10 p.m., Fridays 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday from 4 – 10 p.m. and Sunday from 4 – 9 p.m.  Perry’s also offers car-side TO-GO pick-up every day during regular business hours.
