What to Know

Beginning Nov. 1, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille (5 Oakbrook Court, Oak Brook, IL) is introducing its new Reserve Napa Valley red wine, Perry’s Big Red Blend.  Featuring a blend of five Bordeaux red grape varietals, the small production Big Red Blend is available in limited quantities.

“Think of a red blend as a designer wine,” says Susi Zivanovic, Perry’s corporate sommelier and beverage director. “Wine-making becomes a process of understanding and balancing the characteristics of each grape to best complement one another—an effort which results in a strikingly complex and uniquely individual wine.”

The 2015 Reserve Big Red Blend offers aromas of red and dark fruits, cracked pepper, tobacco leaf and spices. The palate shows bright acidity, balancing raspberry and black currant notes. Spicy French Oak, mocha and vanilla bean are wrapped around integrated

Available for $180 for a bottle, or for $45 per glass, Perry’s 2015 Reserve Big Red Blend contains 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot.
