Perry’s Introduces The Judgment of Paris… A Flight from the Winning Wineries of the 1976 Paris Tasting and 1986 Re-Tasting

In May 1976, English wine merchant Steven Spurrier arranged a blind tasting in Paris to compare California wines from Napa Valley to French wines. The tasting panel was comprised of sommeliers from the top restaurants in Paris and the surprising results - the California wines won - had an effect on the world’s view of California wines. A re-tasting was held on the 10th anniversary and the California wines won again.

To start the New Year, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille (5 Oakbrook Center, Oak Brook,) is taking flight with their offering, The Judgment of Paris, featuring three 2-ounce pours of these California wines. The Judgement of Paris ($34), available now through Feb. 29, excluding Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, includes: 2016 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay, Napa Valley; 2015 Clos de Val Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, and 2017 Stag’s Leap Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley,
