What to watch: Paulie Gee's Logan Square Celebrates 10 Years By Thanking Chicago With $1 Pizzas, A 10th Anniversary Pizza Party With $10 Specials, & More

Owner Derrick Tung and the team at Paulie Gee's Logan Square are celebrating the restaurant's 10th anniversary by thanking the community that has supported them over the past decade with two days of anniversary events on Tuesday, July 7 and Thursday, July 9.

Ten years ago, Tung opened Paulie Gee's Logan Square with a vision of creating a neighborhood pizzeria where pizza and hospitality would bring people together.

Since then, the restaurant has become one of Chicago's dining destinations, welcoming first dates, family dinners, neighborhood regulars, late-night pizza lovers, and countless celebrations while earning a reputation for its wood-fired and Detroit-style pizzas, beverage program, and commitment to community.

The anniversary celebration begins on Tuesday, July 7, when guests dining in can enjoy $1 wood-fired Margherita pizzas with the purchase of any regularly priced wood-fired or Detroit-style pizza. The one-day, dine-in-only anniversary special serves as a thank you to the Logan Square community that has embraced the restaurant for the past decade.

The festivities continue on Thursday, July 9, beginning with an exclusive 10th Anniversary Pizza Party from 5pm to 7pm. Guests with tickets will enjoy unlimited wood-fired and Detroit-style pizzas, beer, wine, cocktails, and other beverages, along with special anniversary treats throughout the evening.

Limited tickets for the two-hour anniversary celebration can be purchased here for $60 each (+tax & +service fee).

Following the ticketed celebration, Paulie Gee's Logan Square will open its doors to the public for walk-ins from 7pm to 9:30pm on Thursday, July 9 for an evening featuring select $10 wood-fired and Detroit-style pizzas along with select $10 anniversary cocktails. Tung’s tradition of serving free Costco birthday cake at all Paulie Gee’s anniversary parties will continue to commemorate ten years in Logan Square.

The anniversary party will continue after 9:30pm at The Alley Cat - the new Wicker Park neighborhood bar owned by Tung along with William Ravert and Tony Dezutter - that opened in May 2026.

Tung also owns and operates the Paulie Gee’s location in Wicker Park (1566 N Damen Ave) - which recently celebrated its 5th anniversary - that serves New York style slices and pies.

Tung never imagined 10 years ago that the Logan Square location of Paulie Gee’s would open so many doors for him and his team.

"We opened Paulie Gee's Logan Square hoping to become the kind of neighborhood restaurant people could count on - whether it was for a casual weeknight dinner, a first date, a birthday celebration, or just a really great pizza," Tung said. "Ten years later, it's incredible to look back at all the memories that have been made within these walls. We've watched families grow up, celebrated countless milestones, and built friendships that extend far beyond our dining room. None of it would have been possible without our incredible team and the Logan Square community. This anniversary is our chance to celebrate them and simply say thank you."
