Onward in Rogers Park invites guests to help support One Tail at a Time Dog Rescue and attend a "Meet and Greet" dog adoption event on their patio on Saturday, September 14 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The One Tail at a Time team will be on hand with several adoptable dogs that customers can meet while they learn about the adoption process.
Guests may also bring their own dogs to the event on Onward's dog-friendly patio and treat them for a good cause. Executive Chef Patrick Russ has created a special "Bone Appetit" menu featuring Sweet Potato Strips, Frozen Peanut Butter & Banana and Watermelon, available for $4 each. Fifty-percent of proceeds from the dog menu sales for the day will benefit One Tail at a Time.
While enjoying the doggie day party, guests can indulge in seasonal brunch menu selections ranging from $4 to $17 including a Duck Sausage Sandwich, Southern Crawfish Benedict, Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon and more.
To complement the menu, guests can sip on brunch cocktails like #namethecocktail (tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, grapefuit syrup and sparkling rosé on top; $11), Onward's seasonal or classic mimosa ($7), and Bloody Mary (bloody mary mix, assorted garnishes, beer back; $11). General Manager and Beverage Director Vicente Romero has also curated a patio "Rosé Menu" featuring seven picks available by the glass or bottle (ranging from $12 to $60) including Proyecto Hermanas, Summer Water, Terre Gaie and more.
