"A Bosnian Sijelo” is Ommi's second pop-up rotation where they highlight a cuisine and stories from a Chicago community. Guests can expect a selection of shareable Bosnian dishes, a dessert, and coffee service. Drinks will be available as well. Each dish will be explained and credited to it’s source, to the best that their shared knowledge allows.

They'll be preparing Bosnian classics like Šopska Salata (summer salad), Sataraš (hearty vegetable stew), cheese-filled Pita (savory cheese rolled into a phyllo dough pie), Ćevapi (grilled meat) with Ajvar (roasted red pepper and eggplant dip) and Kaymak (farmers cheese) as well as Tufahije (apple poached in syrup with a walnut marzipan and whipped cream) and Bosnian-style coffee.

The pop-up will be hosted at Guild Row as part of the Guild Row Creative Exchange Lab (GRCEL) on Sunday, May 19th from 11am to 2pm. Tickets available on Tock.
