The Dark Horse Tap & Grille celebrates the fall season with a tap takeover featuring seasonal beers from four different breweries and a lineup of Oktoberfest-inspired fare, including locally-sourced sausages from Lakeview’s Paulina Meat Market.
Beers include Two Brothers Atom Smasher Oak Aged Oktoberfest-Style Lager, a big oak-aged Märzen-style beer with notes of caramel and toffee; Ballast Point Dead Ringer Oktoberfest, with aromas of rich sugars, nutty toasted malts and fresh baked biscuits; Great Lakes Oktoberfest, which features vibrant malt flavors and noble hop notes; and Old Style Oktoberfest, a limited-release Märzen-style beer produced in La Crosse, Wisconsin and distributed exclusively in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota and Ohio.
Fest-inspired eats include Paulina Meat Market Bratwurst with onion confit, hot mustard, a pretzel roll and warm German potato salad; Warm Bavarian-Style Soft Pretzels with cheddar fondue, hot mustard and gruyere fondue; and Paulina Meat MarketWeisswurst with barrel-aged sauerkraut and warm German potato salad.
The event kicks off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 29. There is no cover charge to attend. Beers range from $5-$7 each and fest food specials range from $8-$15 each.
