Oktoberfest Kick-Off Party at Tuman’s Tap & Grill

Tuman’s hosts an all-day Oktoberfest party featuring seven festbiers, including a gravity keg of Brauerei Hofstetten Original Hochzeitsbier von 1810; only three barrels of this limited-release beer made it to the Chicago market. Other European-made beers include Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier, Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen and Weihenstephaner Festbier.

Chicago-brewed festbiers include Dovetail Brewing Festbier, Pipeworks Brewing Oktoberfest and Metropolitan Brewing Afterburner.  Fest food specials include a Paulina Meat Market Sausage Platter with a smoked Thuringer bratwurst, an Oktoberfest beer brat, roasted cabbage, roasted potatoes and German mustard ($14). Each of the featured beers are available in half-liter or full-liter steins; prices range from $8-$20 each.
