Timothy O’Toole’s Pub will be swapping out their Irish tweed caps and cable knit sweaters for Alpine hats and German lederhosen during their 2018 Oktoberfest celebration. From Saturday, September 22 to Sunday, October 7, the subterranean Streeterville pub will offer a rotating tap of 25-ounce jumbo steins and pints of Oktoberfest brews, starting with Revolution Oktoberfest and Sam Adams Octoberfest ($6 pints; $8 jumbo). In addition to the regular menu, Executive Chef Corey Grupe will feature German-inspired fare, including: Pork Shank with pretzel dumplings; The Wurst Platter Ever (bratwurst, knackwurst and bockwurst); and Pork Schnitzel with spaetzle.
The celebratory atmosphere and oom-pah-pah music will have revelers saying "Prost!" each day. Oktoberfest swag will be given away, such as steins, hats and pins.
