Tuman’s Tap & Grill celebrates Oktoberfest with an all-day kickoff party on Saturday, September 16, and an ongoing celebration of seasonal beers through Tuesday, October 31. The kick-off party features a tapping of eight beers, including German-inspired locally produced beers, award-winning Bavarian/German Festbiersand Marzens, plus an Apfelwein, and a Rauchbier Marzen. The eight beers featured on September 16 include: Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier, Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen, Spaten Oktoberfestbier (Ur-Marzen), 3 Floyds Munsterfest, More Oktoberfest Marzen, Old Irving Oktoberfest, Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier-Märzen (Smoked Beer), and Kelterei Possmann Frankfuter Apfelwein. The Rauchbier is served in a quarter liter Willi Becher/German-style pub glass ($7), and the remaining beers are served in traditional steins (pricing is $7 for a half liter and $13 for a liter). All the featured beers are available in limited quantities; new Oktoberfest selections will rotate on the draft lineup through October 31 (based on consumption).
Additionally, Tuman’s features a $15Paulina Meat Market Smoked Thuringer Brat and Oktoberfest Pork Beer Brat Dinner. The brats are served with sauteed cabbage, crispy bacon, and roasted potatoes, plus a side of German mustard (offered daily September 16-October 8, after 4 p.m.). There is no cover charge to attend; food and drink prices vary. NO RESERVATIONS. The specials are offered during regular business hours.
