Background file: Oaken Bistro + Bar to Donate 50% of Restaurant Sales to Local Children’s Organization this March
Oaken Bistro + Bar announced a special initiative in support of local children’s organization, Fill-A-Heart-4-Kids this March. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with brunch service on weekends, diners at Oaken Bistro + Bar in the month of March will have the opportunity to select 50% off their meal or choose to use the savings for good and elect to donate to the organization. A local Lake Forest-based non-profit, Fill-A-Heart-4-Kids supports over 2,000 foster and homeless children annually by providing critical necessities, food, clothing, educational support, life skills opportunities, enriching hands-on volunteer opportunities and more to “Build Brighter Futures 4 Kids”.
“We're thrilled to welcome diners while also championing a meaningful cause this March,” said Gabriel Boden, General Manager at Oaken Bistro + Bar. "By uniting our passion for offering an exceptional experience with the opportunity to uplift the lives of children through Fill-A-Heart-4-Kids, we aim to go beyond the traditional dining experience and join forces with the community to make a lasting impact.”
Since 2008, Fill-A-Heart-4-Kids has partnered with teachers, social workers, principals and vetted social services organizations to help the most vulnerable children by providing life skills opportunities, educational programs and special celebrations to increase foster children's self-confidence and sense of belonging.
