Nico Osteria’s second annual Tomato Fest, a limited-time dinner menu celebrating this summer's fruitful tomato harvest is just around the corner. Starting Monday, September 5, and ending on Thursday, September 8, Nico Osteria will celebrate this summer’s tomato season with a special menu dedicated to the fruit. Chef de Cuisine Erling Wu-Bower has created a special dinner menu featuring tomatoes prepared in every imaginable form. The Gold Coast Italian restaurant will still offer their standard menu format of crudos, antipasti, pastas, and main dishes but each dish will be transformed to incorporate and showcase tomatoes in inventive ways.
Menu highlights will include:
- Heirloom Tomato Salad with brandy wine tomatoes
- Swordfish N’duja with striped German tomatoes
- Taleggio Ravioli with heirloom cherry tomato
- Crispy Heritage Chicken Cacciatore with tomato pepperonata
Pastry Chef Leigh Omilinsky will also offer special desserts like Almond Financier with candied tomato, olive oil gelato and tomato jam.
The Tomato Fest menu will be offered during dinner service (5pm-10pm) from Monday, September 5, through Thursday, September 8.
