Holiday Oak Park

Novo, located in downtown Oak Park's historic Hemingway District, will celebrate the new year with a special prix fixe menu on Saturday, December 31. Executive Chef Corey Laub has crafted a five course menu ($85 per person; optional wine pairings $30). Laub's dishes are detailed below. Dining guests are invited to choose from two seatings, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Reservations may be made by calling the restaurant at 708-628-3454.

New Year's Eve Prix Fixe

Course One Oysters on the half shell, trout roe, champagne granita or Artisan Cheese, raspberry balsamic jam, house bread, local honey comb

Course Two Roasted Beet Salad, pickled beets, burrata, ras el hanout vinaigrette, candied almonds, vin cotto or Crispy Pork Belly, champagne gel, grilled house bread, honey chili glaze

Course Three Potato and Squash Gratin, micro herb salad, herb oil, hazelnut crust, chamomile truffle gastrique  or Grilled Shrimp, bacon saffron cream, scallop raviolo

Course Four Braised Short Ribs, celery root mash, agro dulce carrots, roasted leeks, toasted shallot or Seared Market Fish, vanilla parsnip puree, roasted parsnip, shaved fennel slaw or Roasted Squash Risotto, pepper coulis, parsley powder, crispy rice paper, hot peppers 

Course Five Chocolate doughnuts, cider anglaise, apple compote  or Champagne sabayon, blackberry, mint
