A new pre-theater dining experience has launched at State and Lake with the debut of a special pre-theater dinner menu available through the fall and holiday season. 

Beginning in September, the tavern-style restaurant will be offering the new pre-theatre menu with a curated selection of prix-fixe dishes served family-style. The menu includes the following dishes:

  • Classic Caesar Salad: romaine hearts, aged parmesan, torn croutons, Caesar dressing

  • Deviled Eggs: house-made giardiniera, crispy pork belly, smoked paprika aioli

  • Jennie’s Meatballs: Whipped goat cheese polenta, san Marzano Pomodoro sauce, grilled ciabatta bread

  • Grilled Chicken Breast Paillard: roasted pisto, charred broccolini & cucumber lemon yogurt sauce

  • Rigatoni: Spicy vodka sauce, charred broccolini & fresh ricotta 

Anticipated Broadway shows and events making their way to the Windy City this season include:

  • Hamilton at the James M. Nederlander Theatre September 13th-December 30th

  • Trevor Noah at the Chicago Theatre from November 13th-16th

  • The Nacirema Society at the Goodman Theatre September 16th-October 15th
