Food Holiday

Burgers are one of the most diverse foods here in America. You can dress burgers up with an array of condiments, dress them down and just eat them with plain cheese on a bun, or even take them out to brunch by throwing an egg on the patty. National Burger Month is but once a year, and this May, Chicago restaurants have brought out the big guns and are celebrating in full force by cooking up some new burgers you have to try.

The recently opened Parlay at Joy District in River North is celebrating National Burger Month with the unveiling of some new burgers. Executive Chef Jason Hedin (formerly chef de cuisine of The Lobby at The Peninsula) has some serious chops in the kitchen and his new Parlay Burger is a must try. With a double beef patty, pork belly, American cheddar, pickle, lettuce, tomato, special sauce, and sunny-side up egg on a brioche bun, this burger is a mouthful. For the month of May, customers can pair it with a 3 Floyds Gumballhead for only $18.
