Understanding the context: National Shrimp Day at Tallboy Taco

Tallboy Taco will recognize National Shrimp Day with $2 grilled shrimp tacos on Wednesday, May 10. Chef Tim Hockett's taco features grilled shrimp, kale, pickled onion and lime vinaigrette (regularly $4). Guests may choose to make a meal out of it and enjoy two grilled shrimp tacos and a "shorty" cerveza for $8. The taco specials will be available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tallboy Taco's menu includes shareable appetizers (beer queso; corn fundido; guacamole), big boy salads (kale caesar; fancy; spinach and avocado), tacos (pulled chicken tinga; crispy veggie avocado; cowboy 12 hour smoked brisket; Gunthrop Farms carnitas), dinner time platters (grilled salmon; chicken enchiladas; Latin skirt steak), sides (papas bravas; rice and beans) and sweets (churro; ice cream taco; popsicles, tres leches). The bar offers tallboys, shorties and bottled brews, aguas frescas and cocktails.
