The Greggory

The Greggory is serving up a nostalgic treat for celebrating National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 19, and all summer long. For just $8 per person (two person minimum), guests can satisfy their sweet tooth with the restaurant's build-your-own sundae tower, customizing strawberry and vanilla ice cream scoops beneath an almond cone with toppings including hearth-roasted pineapple, coconut, gummy bears, chocolate fudge, butterscotch, peanut butter cups, s'mores crumble, oat crumble and cherries.

avec River North

Pastry Chef Natalie Saben of avec has transformed one of the restaurant's desserts into a frozen treat on a stick to cool down with this National Ice Cream Day. Inspired by the Nutter Butter Squares from Chicago's Mediterranean- and Midwestern-inspired shared plates destination, the Nutter Butter Ice Cream Bar is available exclusively at avec River North. For just $7, the summertime treat starts with freshly churned peanut butter ice cream, layered with salted caramel, dipped in a crisp Magic Shell chocolate coating that hardens instantly, before it’s finished with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.

The Graceful Ordinary

The Graceful Ordinary is home to a house-made ice cream program featuring rotating sundaes crafted by Pastry Chef Martina Preradović. This summer, the spotlight is on the S'more Sundae featuring graham cracker ice cream topped with black cocoa fudge, chocolate soil, double-toasted marshmallow fluff, and a housemade honey rye graham.

Adalina Prime

While the restaurant is known for their steaks, savory salt library, and steakhouse burgers, one of its most unexpected dishes is a nostalgic swirl of strawberry or coconut soft serve. Pair with a forkful of their pink macerated strawberry cake or ultra-rich chocolate raspberry cake with crunchy puffed quinoa.

Mariela

Celebrate National Ice Cream Month with Mariela's take on soft serve. This summer dessert features creamy yogurt and calamansi, a citrus fruit that combines the tartness of lime with the sweetness of mandarin orange, and is finished with locally sourced honey and a touch of smoked sea salt. 

Maple & Ash

Maple & Ash is celebrating National Ice Cream Month with a sweet collaboration alongside Margie's Candies. Available exclusively throughout July, guests can enjoy a specially curated Sundae Service featuring Maple & Ash housemade ice cream adorned with signature Margie's Candies toppings, handcrafted candies and housemade sauces. The experience will also feature an exclusive co-branded chocolate garnish created specifically for the collaboration, showcasing both Maple & Ash and Margie's Candies logos. The limited-time partnership marks the debut of Maple & Ash's new Chicago Icons Series, a collaboration series designed to celebrate the people, places and brands that have helped shape Chicago's culture.

Shore Club

Shore Club's signature Frozen Flight features six frozen cocktails: Mango Margarita, Piña Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri, Peachy Lychee, Spritzicle, and Freaky Tiki.

In celebration of National Ice Cream Month, Moo Joe's Ice Cream are offering a limited-time Churro Fizzy Shake through July 31 and giving away free scoops on National Ice Cream Day (July 20) during a Chicagoland tour featuring Billy Bricks Deli & Moo Joe's on Wheels, Illinois' first 100% electric food truck.

In celebration of National Ice Cream Month, Moo Joe's on Central (2002 Central St., Evanston, IL 60201), owned by Billy Bricks Restaurant Group, is introducing a limited-time Churro Fizzy Shake, available July 1-31. Made with Dr Pepper and Moo Joe's Cinnamon Churro Super Premium Ice Cream, the nostalgic summer treat is priced at $9.45 for a 16-ounce serving.

FREE SCOOPS ON NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY | JULY 20

Adding to the celebration, Billy Bricks and Moo Joe's will host a National Ice Cream Day Tour on July 20, 2026, treating guests to complimentary ice cream at various stops throughout the Chicagoland area, courtesy of Billy Bricks Deli & Moo Joe's on Wheels, a new mobile food concept operating from what the company says is Illinois' first 100% electric food truck. The tour will conclude at El Famous Burrito in Lombard (256 W. Roosevelt Rd) where guests can enjoy free scoops. Exact timing and tour stops will be announced soon. Guests are encouraged to follow Billy Bricks and Moo Joe's social media channels for updates and details.

Moo Joe's flavors are available at the standalone Evanston scoop shop and most Billy Bricks locations throughout Chicagoland. Guests can also enjoy Moo Joe's from its 1958 Ford F350 Ice Cream Bar Truck and ice cream carts, available at festivals, community events, and private celebrations throughout the summer.
