In celebration of National Guacamole Day and Mexican Independence Day, Taco Joint's two locations (Lincoln Park; River North) will feature a tri-color guacamole on Friday, September 16. Inspired by the colors of the Mexican flag, the traditional guacamole is topped with pomegranate seeds, queso fresco and nopales ($6). Pair your guac' with Taco Joint's Friday "Mexi-Can Shoot Out" drink special, featuring a can of Modelo Especial and shot of El Jimador blanco tequila for $6.
In addition to the tri-color special, Taco Joint offers an array of guacamole preparations including tradicional, fruta and rojo, which may be served individually ($6), as a pair ($8) or as a trio ($10). The guacamole menu is outlined below.
