Timothy O'Toole's Pub Are you up for a challenge? Timothy O’Toole’s in Streeterville boasts the “Big Timmy Burger Challenge,” featuring two half pound burger patties topped with cheddar, jack, mozzarella, swiss, bacon, onion straws, BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato and red onion, served with Irish nachos ($25). Those who polish off their plate are awarded an O'Toole's t-shirt and burger bragging rights. In addition to the Big Timmy, Chef Corey Grupe offers a bevy of burgers including O'Toole's Original, Chicago Fire, Who's Your Daddy, Bacon Jam and Bison Burger.
III Forks Prime Steakhouse III Forks, located in Lakeshore East, offers a half-price happy hour special every Monday through Friday in May. From 4-7 p.m., guests may enjoy Chef Hans Aeschbacher's Certified Angus beef burger with 4 year aged cheddar, lemon aioli and a side of fries for $9 (regularly $18). III Forks also features an array of $5 sliders on the bar bites menu, including: III Forks Classic; Smoked Gouda Grilled Cheese; Truffle Miso-Glazed Salmon; and Short Rib on Blue Cheese Biscuit.
Artango Bar & Steakhouse Artango offers Argentine cuisine, Latin libations, tango dancing and live music in Lincoln Square. In addition to hand-cut steaks grilled gaucho style, Chef Saul Roman's new spring menu features a juicy "Hamburguesa"- homemade prime hamburger served with fried potatoes ($16). Pair your burger with Artango's extensive list of prohibition era cocktails, signature drinks and local brews.
Taco Joint In honor of National Burger Month, Taco Joint (Lincoln Park and River North) will offer a Mexican twist on the classic American meal. Available from May 1-31, the special "el cheeseburger taco" features an all beef patty, special sauce, queso oaxaca, cherry tomato pico de gallo, avocado and red jalapeno salsa served on a flour tortilla ($4).
