In celebration of Mother's Day, from Monday, May 6 through Sunday, May 12, aliveOne will supply guests with materials to make DIY Mother's Day cards in prep for the holiday.

On Sunday, May 12, Chicagoans can treat Mom to a night of FREE pool and Living Room Sessions, a weekly comedy open mic from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. that invites amateur comedians to take a shot at the stage. Sign up starts at 5:30 p.m. Following Living Room Sessions, Dead Comedy starts at 9 p.m. featuring a two-hour stand up showcase with some of Chicago's best comics. Guests can sip on an $8 "Becky" cocktail (normally $10) featuring CH Vodka, demerara syrup, fresh lime juice, and grapefruit La Croix.

Caffe Umbria (Logan Square and River North)

  • FREE coffee drink for all moms

To celebrate Mother's Day, Caffè Umbria in Logan Square and River North will offer a complimentary coffee drink for Mom on Sunday, May 12 (limit one drink per mom). Moms can choose any coffee drink including the new canned Nitro Cold Brew ($4.25). Made with Caffé Umbria's Gusto Crema Blend and filtered water, this premium nitrogen infused cold brew is smooth, creamy and ready to drink with classic notes of caramel and milk chocolate with subtle fruit and brightness. Starting on Mother's Day, guests can also try the new Nitro Cream mixing Caffè Umbria's Nitro Cold Brew with brown sugar simple syrup and heavy cream for a rich yet caffeinated drink.

Caffè Umbria menu also features speciality coffee and espresso drinks like the Caffé Marocchino (espresso, Italian chocolate sauce, steamed milk, cocoa powder), Espresso Shakerato (espresso shaken over ice, served neat in a sugar rimmed martini glass), Bicerin (double espresso, Italian chocolate sauce made from pure Pernigotti Cocoa, and cinnamon, topped with fresh cream) and more.

Easy Bar

Chicagoans are invited to create Mother's Day cards for the mom in their life all week leading up to the holiday. Easy Bar will provide the supplies and while crafting, guests can sip on daily specials like $6 glasses of wine on Monday, $2 and $3 select beers on Tuesday, $6 signature cocktails on Wednesday and more. Easy Bar also offers a half-price everything happy hour Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Estelle's invites guests to create a DIY Mother's Day card on Wednesday, May 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Art supplies will be provided. Patrons will be offered food and drink specials while they craft including $6 grilled cheese sandwiches and half-price signature cocktails.

Hakka Bakka Kati Rolls

For a pre-Mother's Day treat, Hakka Bakka in the West Loop will offer all moms a FREE Bento Box with the purchase of any entrée item (one per mom; not valid with any other offer or promotion) on Saturday, May 11

Hakka Bakka's Bento Box includes cumin flavored basmati rice, lentil soup, flatbread, a choice of protein (Chicken Tikka, Chicken Hariyali, Lamb Tikka, Lamb Hariyali, Paneer Tikka, Paneer Hariyali, Chickpea Tikka, Chickpea Hariyali), veg samosas, Indian sweet and spicy pickles, and an Indian salad.

Hubbard Inn

On Sunday, May 12, Hubbard Inn will host a $50 Mother's Day Bottomless Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring a choice of mimosas or bloody marys paired with a brunch buffet. Created by Executive Chef Jason Hedin, the buffet will be stocked with baked goods, bbq smoked salmon, corned beef hash, breakfast potatoes, a waffle station, an omelette station, a carving station with prime rib, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, ham and more. Guests can choose the buffet only option for $30. A limited a la carte menu will also be available. 

Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya (Lincoln and Wicker Park)

In recognition of Mother's Day, Kizuki will offer all moms a complimentary mimosa with the purchase of any ramen (limit one mimosa per mom) on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12.

Chicagoans who treat Mom to Kizuki can choose from over 10 bowls of ramen. For example, the Yuzu Shio Ramen (French sea salt, kelp and Japanese citrus based). Other highlights include the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen (rich pork broth flavored with Yamaguchi soy sauce, topped with black garlic oil).

Parlay at Joy District

  • $50 per person ($30 bottomless brunch buffet and $20 mimosa package)

Parlay at Joy District invites Chicagoans to treat Mom to a Mother's Day weekend brunch buffet, available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For $50 per person, guests will be offered a brunch buffet and mimosa bar. Created by Executive Chef Jason Hedin, brunch highlights include a carving station, seafood table and charcuterie, chili and pizza bar, waffle station, egg station, and dessert selections like cake pops, tartlets, brownies and a variety of Rice Krispie treats from Fruity Pebbles to Lucky Charms. There is also a cereal bar and a donut wall with flavors like powdered sugar, sprinkles, chocolate and vanilla.

To prep for Mother's Day, Remedy in Bucktown will host a FREE Mother's Day Card Making party as a part of their spring "Weird Wednesdays" late night lineup. Starting at 10 p.m., Remedy will provide the materials for guests to create a thoughtful, homemade card just in time for Mother's Day. While crafting, attendees will enjoy an eclectic craft cocktail list and a local brewery-driven beer list along with a $8 Miller High Life paired with an Evan Williams shot. Guests who arrive early will enjoy a half-off everything happy hour (excluding shots) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tuscany Restaurant (Taylor Street)

Tuscany Restaurant on Taylor Street will feature a la carte lunch and dinner specials created by Executive Chef Victorio Padilla on Mother's Day. Regular menu items will also be available. The full menu of Mother's Day specials is available upon request and highlights include a roasted corn and shrimp salad, lobster linguine with grilled asparagus, tomatoes and garlic evoo, short rib filled ravioli with an herb beef demi emulsion, New Zealand rack of lamb, lava cake with mango gelato and chocolate creme anglaise and more.

Tuscany Restaurant (Wheeling)

Tuscany in Wheeling will host a Mother's Day brunch buffet featuring eight stations created by Executive Chef Bolla Loza. The stations will include seafood, carving, omelet, Italian dishes, salad, antipasto, seafood and dessert. There will also be a special kid's station. The regular dinner menu will begin at 4 p.m. 

Weber Grill Restaurant (Chicago, Lombard and Schaumburg)

Weber Grill Restaurants in Chicago, Lombard and Schaumburg will offer a family-friendly brunch on Mother's Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along with a la carte specials available all day. Highlights include Grilled Steak and Eggs, Chocolate Cherry Pretzel Bread French Toast, Double Bourbon Glazed Ham Benedict and more.

Guests who dine for brunch can also enjoy $7 mimosas and Weber's signature Backyard Bloody Mary (Tito's vodka, house made bloody mary mix served with smoked sausage, Gouda skewer and a mini Backyard brew, $10.50). Mother's Day menu specials will include the following:

  • Stefani Prime is a modern meeting place between the city and the suburbs that offers prime cuts, seafood, signature Italian dishes and more. Their Mother’s Day buffet brunch is offered from 10am-2pm with carving & omelet stations, a selection of sweet and savory options, pasta, cheese display, shrimp cocktail, and more. The dinner menu will be available starting at 4pm.

MAD Social (1140 W Madison)

  • MAD Social is a neighborhood spot from the Stefani Restaurant Group that offers classic fare, select wines, and beers as well as classic cocktails. For Mother’s Day brunch, they will offer their full menu along with complimentary chocolate dipped strawberries for mom. Brunch highlights include bottomless bloody mary’s & mimosas and Buttermilk Pancakes with salted caramel whipped butter, fresh berries, maple syrup.

The Palm

From May 10 thru May 12, The Palm will be serving its classic Surf N’ Turf or Alaskan King Crab Legs for a limited-time price of $65. The restaurant will also be honoring all moms with a specially crafted Limoncello Lemon Drop cocktail.

Dos Urban Cantina

Dos’ all-you-can-eat Brunch Buffet is back for Mother’s Day. Choose from a variety of  Mexican dishes with seasonal twists, like tacos, quiche, fresh salads, muffins, scones, and lots more!
The brunch buffet is served 10am - 2pm and $28 per person. Kids eat free.


Join Daisies for a kid-friendly Mother's Day brunch. Daisies is offering a prix-fixe menu for $39 per person featuring housemade pastries, a selection of brunch entrees, shareable sides for the table, and a brunch beverage. Highlights include truffled scrambled egg bruschetta, rhubarb flapjacks, cornflake-crusted French toast with housemade jam, breakfast carbonara and more! Brunch is served 10am - 2pm and kids 12 and under eat free.

The Heritage 

The Heritage is handing out fresh flowers from local shop Moss Modern Flowers during Mother’s Day brunch. Chef Rick Ohlemacher’s new brunch menu includes ricotta & honey toast, seasonal quiche and eggs benedict.


The neighborhood spot will open the second floor seating area during brunch to welcome more families to enjoy favorites like eylsian tarte flambee, hearth-smoked salmon platter, cinnamon pecan glazed banana bread, and of course, mimosas, fresh juice and other beverages. They will be offering a prefix menu at $45 a person featuring some of the highlights on the brunch menu. Etta requires a credit card for these Mother's Day reservations. 

Cafe Robey

This Mother’s Day, enjoy Chef Kevin McAllister’s seasonal comfort food against the backdrop of Wicker Park and Bucktown’s six-corner intersection at Café Robey. The open kitchen serves items including brioche French toast, biscuits & gravy, grain bowls and more.

The Lounge

No reservations but still want to celebrate? Head up upstairs from the café to The Lounge. The Lounge offers brunch bites, select dishes from Cafe Robey, including pastries, breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast.

Michael Jordan's Steak House 

Michael Jordan's Steak House is celebrating all mothers with a special brunch menu on Sunday, May 12 from 11am to 3pm. In honor of the day, the restaurant will offer a variety of specialty menu items that include Chef Rudy’s Chilaquiles with salsa verde, crema, queso fresco, over easy Slagel Farm eggs, and the option to add steak (additional $10); Wagyu Burger with secret sauce, lettuce, pickles, onions, widmer cheddar, and a sesame seed bun; Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffles with Burton’s maple hot sauce, Belgian Waffle with whipped mascarpone and berries; Steak & Eggs with NY Strip, duck fat potatoes, and two Slagel Farms eggs; and Steak House Benedict with filet medallions, poached Slagel Farms eggs, hollandaise and asparagus with grilled sourdough bread.

Ocean Prime Chicago

Ocean Prime Chicago has unveiled their Mother’s Day Brunch available on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located in the Shops at LondonHouse at the corner of North Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, this modern American restaurant and lounge from restaurateur Cameron Mitchell will serve a variety of special food and beverage items for this special holiday. The Mother’s Day menu lineup includes:

·         Smoked Salmon on a bagel with sliced tomato, red onion, arugula, and whipped cream cheese

·         Lobster Toast with avocado, sweet peas, preserved lemon, and topped with a sunny side egg

·         Blackened Salmon Salad mixed with strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, goat cheese, field greens, and finished with basil poppyseed dressing and candied walnuts

·         French Toast topped with fresh berries, lemon curd, candied bacon, and warm maple syrup

·         Crab & Eggs made with crab cakes, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, fresh fruit, mixed green, and balsamic vinaigrette on English muffins

·         Braised Short Rib Surf & Turf with a crispy gouda potato cake, poached egg, hollandaise sauce, and a lobster claw

To complement the brunch dishes, Ocean Prime Chicago will also serve signature cocktails including a Blood Orange Mimosa made with blood orange juice, simple syrup, Cointreau, and champagne and the restaurant’s Signature Bloody Mary made with Ocean Prime’s house made mix, choice of vodka, and jumbo shrimp.

the Albert

the Albert, located at 228 E Ontario, is honoring all mothers with a special brunch on Sunday, May 12. In celebration of the day, Hotel EMC2’s contemporary restaurant will be offering a special menu from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additionally, the restaurant will be offering mothers attending brunch a selection of flowers. Items on the a la carte menu include Garden Salad with green goddess dressing, Deviled Eggs with country ham, Smoked Salmonwith dill puff pastry and poached egg, Chilaquiles with avocado and cilantro, and Strawberry Shortcake with macerated strawberry and goat’s milk ricotta.


Toni Roberts, Executive Pastry Chef at theWit Hotel, has Mother’s Day gifting ideas with offering a selection of chocolate kiss cookies at A Bit of theWit’s “Kiss Your Mom” Pop Up Shop. These treats may be pre-ordered beginning May 1, and will be available until May 12 at Cookies are available for pick up at theWit Hotel, 201 N. State Street, or can be delivered directly to mom’s doorstep for Mother’s Day.

Each “Kiss Your Mom” cookie, $18 each, has its own lavor topped with a giant chocolate kiss. Patrons can choose between options including the Salted Chocolate Chunk Cookie with a Dark Chocolate Kiss; Peanut Butter Cookie with a Milk Chocolate Banana Kiss; or a Fudge Brownie with a Strawberry Chocolate Kiss.

All “Kiss Your Mom” cookie orders require 24 hours to process. Orders will be available for pick-up between 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on the date requested. 

Geja's Cafe

Geja's Cafe, 340 W. Armitage, is celebrating Mother’s Day this year by treating all moms to a complimentary 5-minute massage, paired with a glass of bubbly, on Sunday, May 12. Moms will have the opportunity to step away from their table to receive a well-deserved relaxing chair massage in a secluded area, courtesy of a licensed massage therapist from Massage House located in Lincoln Park. Geja’s Café will open at 1 p.m. to celebrate Mother’s Day.

“Moms are always working so hard throughout the year, and we just wanted to give them a little extra attention on this special day,” said Jeff Lawler, Geja’s Cafe Proprietor. “Even if it is just for a couple of minutes, we hope all mothers are able to relax and enjoy themselves before heading back to their table.”


Pinstripes, 435 East Illinois Street, will serve an array of dishes at their Mother’s Day Bottomless Brunch on Sunday, May 12 from 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Celebrating moms, aunties, grandmas and other special women in the family, brunch will be served for $36 for adults; $15 for children aged six to 12; and children under age five eat free. Guests may start with homemade pastries and fresh fruit, working their way through signature made-to-order stations, traditional breakfast selections, and Chef Specialties. For kids, a “junior” table serving Creamy Mac & Cheese and Crispy Chicken Tenders will delight. After brunch, can continue the celebration on one of the bocce courts or bowling lanes.

Staytion Market & Bar 

This Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12th, Staytion Market & Bar located at 1 W. Wacker Drive, will be have special offerings for mothers and families to celebrate. Appetizers will include bites such as Tuna Poke Lettuce WrapsDeviled Eggs, and more. The main courses for the celebration include a Parmesan Crusted Sable, and a Mole Rubbed Filet. Mom will end on a sweet note with either a Hazelnut Crème Brûlée or a White Chocolate Mousse Verrine.


Yolk will be offering their regular breakfast menu in addition to specialty juices and its own private label premium coffee, for the easy-going mom looking for a brunch classic. In addition to pancakes, Yolk’s menu includes signature specialty dishes like gourmet five-egg rolled omelet, eggs benedict, a wide range of skillets and scramblers, pancakes, frittatas, crepes and many more options, along with menu items from the restaurant’s Test Kitchen.

Dutch & Doc’s

Take mom to brunch at Dutch & Doc’s before the Cubs vs. Brewers game. The restaurant will be serving regular brunch menu from 10:00am - 2:00pm. A special dessert will be served for mom:

  • Strawberry torte with vanilla cake, 4 layers alternating with strawberry filling and a vanilla Italian buttercream.

GT Fish & Oyster 

GT Fish & Oyster will be offering a family style Mother’s Day menu from 9:30am - 3:00 pm for $55 per person, guests ages 4-12 pay $25 and kids under 3 eat free. 

GT Prime 

GT Prime will be offering a 3 course, family-style Mother’s Day brunch featuring menu items like Pork Belly Benedict, Bigoli with Veal Heart Bolognese and Fried Chicken and Waffles from 9:30am-2:45pm for $55 per person and $25 for kids ages 3-12.
Beverage: House Bloody Mary, sparkling cocktails like Mimosa's and Bellini's, as well as spirit free cocktails, coffee and loose leaf teas from Rare Tea Cellars.

Machine: engineered dining and drink

Mother’s Day Brunch at Machine, 9am-3pm
This Mother’s Day, celebrate the most amazing woman in your life with brunch and bouquets at Machine. In addition to large floral bouquets (12 stems, $50) available for pre-order with a reservation, moms can also create bouquets to be made tableside, with a variety of stems and blooms to choose from.   

Swift & Sons

Treat mom to a family style brunch at Swift & Sons. Indulge in King Crab Stuffed Crepes, Smoked Whitefish & Salmon Platter or Country Ham benedict. Cater to her sweet tooth with Olive Oil Cake, Cinnamon Coffee Cake and Lemon Scones available from 10am- 2:45pm for $58 per person, kids under 12 eat free.


Celebrate mom with brunch at Bellemore from 11am-2pm. Jimmy Papadopoulos will be serving brunch entrees like Arctic Char Toast, Bavarian Pancakes and the Firebird Chicken Sandwich while Pastry Chef Leigh Omilisky will delight taste buds with Dark Chocolate Babka, Cinnamon Roll Kouign Amann and Coconut Semifreddo.


Brunch at Cabra will kick off Mother’s Day weekend on May 11. Treat mom to dishes like Black Plaintain Waffles and Quinoa French Toast with Whipped Ricotta. Brunch will be served Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-4pm. Starting on May 13 lunch will also be served Monday-Friday from 11am-4pm. 

Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea

Little Goat Diner

Take a visit to Little Goat Diner on Sunday, May 12 for Mother’s Day Brunch upstairs at Little Goat from 10am-12pm. The sweet and savory spot will be featuring a family-style menu of a spring-y brunch and cocktails to celebrate. If the weather allows, the festivities will extend to Little Goat’s sunny rooftop terrace. 

Margeaux Brasserie
Mother’s Day Brunch, 10am – 4pm on Sunday, May 12th
Guests can enjoy live jazz music alongside a three-course menu at $68 per guest and menu selections include Roasted Mushroom Crepe, Paris Ham Benedict, Steak Frites, Valrhona Chocolate Grand Macaron, and Madagascar Vanilla Souffle. From 11am - 3pm, they will have a professional photographer in the courtyard taking complimentary family portraits. Photos will be emailed digitally following the date.

Petit Margeaux

On Mother’s Day Petit Margeaux will offer $8 Mimosas and Bellini’s all day. Throughout the week and weekend, Petit will offer special pastries as a sweet treat for mom.

The J.Parker

Take the women in your life to the top of the Hotel Lincoln, for views of Lake Michigan and “buy one get one free” frozen bellinis for all moms from 11:30am-4pm. Made with Control C Pisco, Combier Peach Liqueur, orange juice and Prosecco.

Stan’s Donuts

Give mom the gift of breakfast in bed. Head to one of Stan's multiple Chicago area locations to pick up a treat. Starting Friday, May 3 - Sunday, May 12, Stan’s will be offering 10 mini chocolate dipped donuts for $14.95 in a branded gift box. In addition, on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12, Stan’s will be selling edible flower donuts (limited quantity per store) for $5.99 a piece. 

Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago

Visit Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago (221 N. Columbus) to treat mom to a brunch buffet on May 12 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Featured dishes include oysters, crab legs, carved-to-order prime rib and leg of lamb, an omelet station, eggs Benedict, and breakfast breads and pastries. A separate children’s buffet will be available, too. Perks include bottomless champagne and complimentary self-parking for a fun and festive day. Commons Club

At Commons Club, inside Virgin Hotels Chicago, each mom will receive a complimentary brunch mimosa to start. Moms looking for a relaxing time can pay $35 for non-alcoholic hot tea and bites. Those looking to take it up a notch can pay $45 for boozy tea & bites. Mamas who really need some TLC can go the second-tier route for 2 hours of unlimited mimosas, boozy tea and bites for $60. 

The Dearborn

The Dearborn will be offering two special menu items from a smoked salmon platter with all of the toppings and a hazelnut paris brest - choux pastry, candied hazelnuts, praline cream, fresh berries.

20 East at The Talbott Hotel

Celebrate mom and brunch at this Gold Coast spot. Breakfast items from omelets, frittatas and avocado toast will be offered. Every mom who dines on Sunday will receive a complimentary “Momosa”.

The Lobby at The Peninsula

For a family-friendly brunch that will keep the kids happy, The Lobby at the Peninsula Chicago (108 E Superior St.) will be offering its all-day brunch buffet. Parents will enjoy live music from a string quartet, while kids can hang out in the Children’s Lounge with a magician, a balloon artist and Peter Bear. Entry costs $225 per adult and $65/per child (ages -12), with alcoholic beverages at an additional charge. 

The Gwen Hotel

The Gwen Hotel is hosting a Mother’s Day Market, where you can shop local, woman-owned businesses for gifts for mom and meet the makers themselves. Vendors include a curated selection of artisanal goods, such as chocolates, skin care products, jewelry, candles and more. The free event takes place from 11am-4pm, Saturday, May 11, at the lobby of The Gwen, 521 North Rush Street. 

Walton Street Kitchen + Bar

Walton Street will be offering brunch and dinner for the celebration. Brunch will offer a special Quiche Lorraine and dinner will debut an Alaskan Halibut Oscar. Their Southern Fried Chicken will be available all day.

Untitled Supper Club

The River North restaurant Untitled Supper Club will host a family-friendly Mother’s Day Brunch May 12 from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with a brunch served family-style, while serenading attendees with live music by the all-female 18 member jazz ensemble, Chicago Outskirts. $48 adults, $18 kids 12 and under. 


Gemini (2075 N Lincoln Ave.), the Lincoln Park Ballyhoo Hospitality concept, will be open for brunch and dinner. Specials include a Quiche Lorraine and Brioche Crusted Halibut. Their Southern Fried Chicken will also be available for brunch and dinner.

Half Acre Brewery - Taprooms at Balmoral & Lincoln

Celebrate mom and sip on some brews at Half Acre’s Lincoln (4257 N Lincoln Ave) or Balmoral (2050 W Balmoral Ave) Tap Rooms. Each mom will receive a complimentary Wyld beer “Beermosa” upon arrival. For the special occasion, both locations will be taking reservations for Sunday brunch (walk-ins are also welcome). 

The Press Room

The West Loop’s restaurant serving familiar foods and wines, just launched The Fourth Estate, their new wine club just in time for mom. Curated by sommelier Anton Valkov, each member will enjoy hand-picked wines based on their personal profile and tastes, as well as other perks including 20% off all wines by the bottle when dining in, quarterly member happy hours and dibs on wine dinners and exclusive bottles. For brunch, Chicago’s newest Michelin starred restaurant Temporis (933 N Ashland Ave.) will be deviating from their evening menu to offer a three-course brunch. For $75 per person, guests can enjoy a 3-course menu with three options for each course. In keeping with Temporis’ offerings, guests can choose from dishes like the Portobello Omelette, featuring Portobello mushrooms, kombu butter, rye, chard cip, kombu sauce, tarragon oil and roquefort, and “Trail Mix,” a dessert featuring poached fruit, honey granola, almond milk, cinnamon, lemon balm, grapefruit shattered, brown butter cake, almonds. Special cocktails include the Temporis Bloody Mary, with a garnish. 

La Sirena Clandestina (954 W Fulton Market)

Brunch returns Mother’s Day -- with a special shoutout to owner Nicole Manion who is celebrating her first Mother’s Day with 6-month-old Maximo. Moms can sway to the live bossa nova music performance from "The RIO Thing" featuring Ana Monteanu, as well as the $35 Brazilian mimosa pitchers on special. Brunch dishes include breakfast empanadas with bacon, caramelized onions, fontina, maple syrup, and a sunny egg ($6), French Toasties with cashew butter, cachaca bananas foster, and whipped cream ($8), steak and eggs ($26), a Pao Benedict that shows off a braised lamb shoulder with poached eggs and aji amarillo hollandaise ($18) and more. Brunch starts at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bar Biscay (1450 W. Chicago Ave.) 

Bar Biscay is opening early for a special Mother’s Day brunch service with a Spanish treatment with dishes like a Basque burger with a fried egg, manchego, piperade, brioche and frites and a roasted leg of lamb with spring onions and salbitxada. Open early to serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mom will love new cocktails like “The Perfect Bijou”, which combines Rye Gin, Red Vermouth, Dry Vermouth, Green Chartreuse and Orange Bitters.


Transport Mom to the island of Kauai with Beatnik’s (1604 W Chicago Aveongoing brunch series Jetset: Flight to Kauia. This island brunch will transport Mom to a tropical oasis with beats and breezy tunes. All of their usual brunch menu items will be available including shakshuka with duck eggs ($12) and a Spanish tortilla with uni ($14) as well as tropical-inspired specials, and 50% off all large format cocktails.


Any southern or German moms out there will appreciate Chef Mark Steuer’s mash-up menu at the new West Town restaurant, serving brunch favorites like Schnitz & Grits, Spaetzle Carbonara, and a light Brunch Salad with apple and squash and topped with a soft egg. For Mother’s Day Brunch, all moms will be treated to a complimentary mimosa. “Funkenbrunchen” is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 12.

El Tapeo at Le Meridien

For a brunch that doesn’t require trekking into the city, El Tapeo at Le Meridien in Oak Brook is hosting Mother’s Day brunch with complimentary sangria for moms. The Spanish kitchen is offering its menu with a chef’s market table, entree of choice, and selection of sweets for guests ($45 for adults, $23 for children 6-12, kids under 5 eat free). Brunch will be available on Sunday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Texas de Brazil

For those looking for a place to take Mom on Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 12), all three Chicagoland Texas de Brazil locations will open early at 11 a.m., serving the full rodizo-style dinner menu all day. Additionally, diners will enjoy a special treat for the holiday – each full meal purchased will also include complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and a dessert. 

Doc B's Restaurant + Bar 

Mom’s deserve the best of the best, and this Mother’s Day, Doc B's Restaurant + Bar is offering something special for mom’s.

On Sunday, May 12, both the Gold Coast and River North locations will offer a complimentary appetizer for those with a Mother’s Day reservation (up to $17). Options include the Housemade Guacamole, Grilled California Artichokes and Oven Roasted Chicken Wings.  

In addition to the offer for the family, moms are sure to get special treatment for the holiday with a complimentary cocktail of their choice (up to $15). 

RA Sushi

RA Sushi is offering a Sushi & Sake 101 class on Thursday, May 16 at 8 p.m. where guests can enjoy a night out with mom while learning sushi rolling and sake basics.

At Mom’s Sushi & Sake 101 , RA Sushi's culinary team will teach participants about sushi and guide them in making a California Roll, Tootsy Maki Roll and Tuna and Salmon Nigiri. Guests will be offered sake flight pairings, edamame and miso soup.

Mom’s Sushi & Sake 101 costs $50 per person, is non-refundable and advance reservations are required.
