Pilsen

This holiday season, Moody Tongue (2136 S. Peoria St.), the culinary brewery in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, is giving their guests the gift of truffles with its Shaved Black Truffle Pilsner available on draft for the first time ever. Beginning Friday, December 2nd at 5 p.m., guests will be able to sip and savor the extravagant and extremely limited beer in the Tasting Room at Moody Tongue.

Created with premium Australian black truffles hand-shaved by Brewmaster Jared Rouben, this German-style Pilsner's aromatics combine fresh black truffle and baked pear with subtle notes of toasted pilsner malt. The flavor profile marries that of a traditional German-style Pilsner with one of the most sought-after culinary ingredients in the world.

The Shaved Black Truffle Pilsner, which was previously only available to the public through a lottery or at select restaurants, will be offered at the Tasting Room at Moody Tongue on a first come, first served basis. Guests will be able to enjoy the beer in a 5-ounce champagne flute for $20, while supplies last.
