We know what you’re thinking: What’s a hamburger doing in a nice Spanish seafood-focused place like mfk.? Well, this isn’t just any burger but Chef Alisha Elenz’s ‘Biz Makin You Crazy Burger’. The juicy burger is topped with red onion jam, frisee lettuce, Fresno chiles and finished with three cheeses (Parmesan cheese, gouda and cheddar). It's pulled together by signature "bizkaina" sauce created by Chef Alisha when she was a sous chef - a smooth mixture of house made piperade with shallots, white wine, saffron, butter, parsley and lemon.
Served with a hefty portion of sweet polenta fries dusted with rosemary, it rings in at $15. The hamburguesa launches next Wednesday, Dec. 5 and is available during lunch from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
Additionally, happy hour is officially a thing at mfk. The $10 price tag gets you a Dark and Stormy cocktail, the tropical-inspired rum and ginger beer beverage, and three of our ham and Montamoré cheese croquettas served with sherry aioli.
Happy hour launches next Wednesday, Dec. 5 as well and is offered from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
