Special Events Mexican West Loop

más, a modern Mexican restaurant and tequila bar in the West Loop, is mixing up their monthly tasting event by featuring a mezcal brand instead of a tequila brand. The tasting begins at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26. Guests will receive one Mezcal-based cocktail, a sample of Del Maguey Mezcal and two signature tacos for $20 a person (includes tax and gratuity).

The restaurant, which was named one of Chicago’s “Best Tequila & Mezcal Bars” by Liquor.com, is one of many Chicago bars embracing the smoky, artisanal spirit.

The mezcal-based cocktails available at the tasting include the Barney con Vida, made with Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Luxardo Gourmet Maraschino Cherry liqueur, blueberry syrup, lemon juice and habanero bitters. The second beverage featured at the tasting will be the El Compadre, which is made with Vida Mezcal, Aperol, Punt E Mes Sweet Vermouth, orange juice and agave.

Guests can choose two tacos from a selection of five varieties including Falafel, Cochinita, Mole, Pancita and Calabacitas con Chorizo tacos.

Tickets can be purchased online at: www.masmezcal.eventbrite.com
