Chicago's new-found fascination with mezcal rages-on this summer, particularly at Rojo Gusano,where mezcal seems to be having its moment. Inside, and out -- on Rojo's new sidewalk patio, a line-up of mezcal-based cocktails, and over a dozen brands of mezcal, lead the parade at chef Dudley Nieto's casual beach-themed hipster taco hangout. While mezcal options remain top of the list, Rojo Gusano's drink menu also includes a selection of tequilas, sotols, bourbons, wines and imported beers.

The libations offer the pairing to Chef Dudley's globally-inspired taco mash-ups like Green Curry Shrimp Tacos with Asian cabbage, Charred Butternut Squash tacos with farmers cheese, kale, tomatillo salsa, and Korean Beef BBQ Tacos with kimchi, cilantro and sesame seeds.
