Following the June 4 opening of its second Chicago location in Lincoln Park, Mercadito is continuing to build its presence in the neighborhood with the debut of a new 20-seat outdoor patio and an exclusive discount for DePaul University students. At the same time, Mercadito is introducing new weekly specials at both its Lincoln Park and River North restaurants, including $10 Margarita Mondays, expanded bottomless brunch and a new $30 Taco Tuesday experience launching on National Taco Day.
The new 20-seat patio gives guests another way to experience Mercadito Lincoln Park’s elevated Mexican cuisine, handcrafted cocktails and signature tacos in the heart of the neighborhood. The patio is available during regular restaurant hours, weather permitting, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
As DePaul University students return to campus, Mercadito Lincoln Park is also introducing an exclusive 15% student discount. Available every day with a valid student ID, the offer gives students a new neighborhood destination just steps from campus for everything from post-class tacos to weekend brunch and more.
Across both Lincoln Park and River North, Mercadito is adding new reasons to visit throughout the week. Margarita Mondays launched Aug. 31, featuring $10 traditional margaritas all day at both locations. Mercadito will also introduce Taco Tuesday on National Taco Day, Oct. 6, giving guests a complete Mercadito experience for $30. Available at both Chicago locations, the special includes chips and guacamole, an order of three tacos and a margarita. Lobster tacos are excluded from the offer.
Mercadito is also expanding its bottomless brunch offerings. Friday bottomless brunch is already underway at the Lincoln Park location, while River North will add Fridays beginning Sept. 4. With the expansion, guests at both Chicago restaurants can enjoy brunch Friday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The menu features Mercadito’s Mexican-inspired take on brunch favorites alongside its signature tacos and cocktails, with bottomless options including margaritas, mimosas, Amiga Sandías, hard Topo Chicos, Bloody Marys and Tecates.
"We've loved becoming part of the Lincoln Park community, and we're excited to continue giving our neighbors new ways to experience Mercadito," said William McDavid, Managing Partner of Mercadito. "Whether you're stopping by for margaritas after work, brunching with friends, grabbing dinner after class or enjoying a meal outside on the patio, we want Mercadito to be a place where the neighborhood can come together throughout the week."
