Mercadito Chicago is celebrating the holidays with a Mixology Academy course on Saturday, December 16, and Feliz Navidad Experiential Dinner on Monday, December 18.

Learn tips and tricks while getting a little saucy with friends at La Mez Agave Lounge, downstairs at Mercadito, with a special Mixology Academy course Saturday, December 16 at 3 p.m. The course, led by Beverage Director Paul Tanguay, will feature Maestro Dobel Tequila, and highlight signature Pepino El Pyu, El Pirata and A Mexican in Manhattan cocktails. Appetizers will also be provided by Mercadito Chicago’s Chef Aldo Ayala.
The Mixology Academy costs $45 per guest. Reservations are required.
Feliz Navidad Experiential Dinner – Monday, Dec. 18 from 6-9 p.m.
‘Tis the season! Guests are invited to bring their friends and family and enjoy a festive spread, accompanied by Maestro Dobel Tequila cocktails. The dinner is hosted by Lazaro Cerdan of Maestro Dobel Tequila and Chef Patricio Sandoval of Mercadito.
Guests will begin the festivities with Sopa de Langosta y Camarón, shrimp and lobster bisque, chile morita and parsley.
Next, guests will delight in Tacos de Bacalo, salt cod stew, corn tortillas, tomatoes, olives, capers, pickled jalapeños, red onions, olive oil, herb salad and crispy capers.
After, enjoy Pierna de Jamón, piloncillo-herb glazed leg of ham, bacon-brussels sprouts, sweet potato hash, pork a jus and micro greens.
For dessert, guests will be treated to Buñuelos, sugar and cinnamon dusted fritters, smoked sweet plantains, roasted yams, condensed milk, piloncillo syrup and warm chocolate milk.
The Feliz Navidad Experiential Dinner is $85 per guest, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 312.329.9555.
