Mac’s Wood Grilled hosts Oregon’s 2 Town Ciderhouse for the bar’s third annual Cider Summit Chicago Pre-Party/Tap Takeover in advance of Cider Summit Chicago (held February 11 at Navy Pier). The tap takeover features two hard-to-find ciders, Serious Scrump, an Imperial English Ice Cider (limited-release seasonal) and 6th Anniversary, a one-off barrel-aged Muscat Grape Cider (one of two barrels released in Chicagoland). Three handcrafted year-round ciders, Made Marion, BrightCider and Bad Apple, round-out the lineup. The ciders will be tapped at 4 p.m. and 2 Towns Ciderhouse head cider maker Dave Takush will be on-site from 7-9 p.m.
There is no cover charge to attend the event. Ciders range from $6-$9 each and a $12 flight is also available. Mac’s is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8 and the kitchen is open until 11 p.m.
