On November 8, 2019, over 80 chefs and mixologists come together annually to celebrate food and philanthropy - to NOURISH Chicago's homebound neighbors.The Ball features two events in one: a VIP event with a seated dining experience for 360 guests followed by a reception-style party known as the Chef's Tasting Party that typically hosts over 500 guests.
The VIP Ball begins with a cocktail reception at 6pm, followed by a dining experience. VIP Ball guests are seated in "pods," which are made up of three tables. Each pod has their own team of three top chefs and a mixologist who prepare a six-course meal with cocktail pairings and decadent desserts. Opportunities to win experiences in VIP are available during the live auction. As a VIP, entrance to the Chef's Tasting Party is also included.
The Chef's Tasting Party begins at 7:30pm, and guests are invited to sample their way through dozens of chef stations and cocktail experiences. While trying dishes and specialty cocktails, guests bid on dozens of premier items and experiences at the silent auction. Guests also have the opportunity to interact with each chef.
