(CHICAGO, IL) October 11, 2017 – Meals on Wheels Chicago (MOWC) will host 80 of Chicago’s finest chefs and two dozen mixologists at its 29th annual Celebrity Chef Ball on Friday, November 10 from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Morgan Manufacturing in the West Loop.  This year’s honorary chairs are The Wirtz Family and Breakthru Beverage Illinois.  The Wirtz family has been supporting Meals on Wheels Chicago for nearly ten-years and have also been named official sponsors of MOWC’s 30###sup/sup### Anniversary.

The Celebrity Chef Ball features an interactive dining experience with Chicago’s top culinary talent, indulgent dishes and desserts, custom cocktails, silent auction, and live entertainment. This year’s featured Chefs include Abraham Conlon (Fat Rice), Danny Grant(Maple & Ash), Bill Kim (bellyQ), Anna and David Posey (Elske), and many more. See here for the full lineup:
The VIP Chef’s Table will begin at 6 p.m. with a pre-event cocktail reception, followed by an intimate dining experience. Seated in small clusters, each served by 3 chefs and a mixologist, guests will enjoy a 6-course dinner, an array of pastry specialties, and a live auction. A VIP Chef’s Table ticket also includes entry to the Chef’s Tasting Party.
At the Chef's Tasting Party, partygoers will indulge in over 40 chef stations throughout the venue beginning at 8:30 p.m. Sampling signature dishes and specialty cocktails, guests will have the opportunity to interact with each chef. Guests will also enjoy a silent auction, photo booth and more!
Tickets for the Celebrity Chef Ball are now on sale and will be available through Meals on Wheels Chicago’s website at Early ticket purchases are suggested as this event has sold out in past years.
The Celebrity Chef Ball raises more than $250,000 annually and generates one-fourth of MOWC’s annual revenue to fund programs for Chicago’s homebound senior and disabilities communities. Proceeds from the event support Meals on Wheels Chicago's mission to promote independence for Chicago seniors and individuals with disabilities through meal delivery.
