Lakeview/Wrigleyville

  • Cody's Public House

Cody’s Public House in West Lakeview will host a free tie dye party with Surfside on Monday, May 27 at 3 p.m. Surfside will supply guests with shirts, dye and all supplies. While tie-dying, guests will be offered a happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring $6 Bomb Pop shots, $7 Stateside Vodka John Daly cocktails, and $25 Surfside buckets with Iced Tea, Lemonade and Peach flavors. Cody’s is dog-friendly inside and out and weather permitting, guests will be provided TVs, darts, bean bags and a fire pit in Cody’s beer garden. 

  • Wake 'N Bacon

Brunch will be available all weekend from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wake ‘n Bacon. Brunch menu options include a Wake 'n Bacon Burger featuring an all beef patty, pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions and bacon chili jam on a brioche bun and the La Vida Dulce Brioche French Toast stuffed with house-made dulce de leche and topped with a dulce whipped cream, shortbread crumble, and a spread of blackberry ginger compote. For an add-on, all food and drink items can be infused with CBD. 

Weather permitting, a dog-friendly, outdoor area featuring two swing tables with seating for four guests per table. Full food and drink menus are available.

Lincoln Park 

  • aliveOne

Patrons can head to aliveOne at 5 p.m. for half-off all beer and cocktails from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. along with specials like a $7 PBR and whiskey shot combo. At 8 p.m., free music trivia from Whaddayaknow and free pool all night.

Lincoln Square

  • The Getaway

Lincoln Square’s latest addition, The Getaway, will open on Memorial Day at 4 p.m. featuring a happy hour until 6 p.m. with $8 house cocktails and $5 select drafts. $4 domestic beers will be available all evening. Cocktails include the Slaughtermelon with 21 Seeds Cucumber Jalapeño Tequila, Herradura agave, Cointreau, real watermelon syrup, lime juice, and jalapeño concentrate, and the Spicy Bonkey with Sombra Mezcal, lime juice, hot honey syrup, pineapple juice, ginger beer, and Angostura bitters, with a Tajin rim.

Logan Square

  • Central Park Bar

On Monday, May 27 at 4 p.m. on their patio will offer a half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The winter enclosure was recently removed, so weather-permitting, guests can visit the Backyard Bar complete with covered outdoor bar, bumper pool table, picnic tables, porch swings and fire pit. 

  • The Owl

From 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Memorial Day, guests can sip on $6 Margaritas all evening along with seasonal cocktails like the Mambo #5 with Plantation 3 Star Rum, black currant liqueur, ginger syrup, and lemon, or the True Chicago Mule with Malort, CH vodka, grapefruit juice, grapefruit bitters, and ginger beer.

  • Flight Club Chicago

Flight Club is offering $39 bottomless flatbreads, $49 bottomless mimosas, or $59 bottomless flatbreads and mimosas (per person), all including 90-minutes of Social Darts.  

  • Venteux

Available all weekend long, Executive Chef Marcel Heiduk is putting a French spin on a classic summer staple — the hot dog. Chef’s Chicago Style Toulouse Hotdog features a meaty Toulouse sausage nestled between a poppy seed bun, then garnished with charred leek dijonaise, mustard, cornichon relish and halved cherry tomatoes. Served with a side of fries and priced at $22 a plate.

  • Cindy's Rooftop

Cindy's Night Brunch (6pm-10pm on May 27) is free to attend, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Cindy's Rooftop will be open for regular bar and restaurant service throughout this event. Reservations on RESY.

  • Robert's Pizza Dough & Co. 

Robert's Pizza's brunch menu features a selection of sweet and savory entrees and pizzas. Options include the French Toast Za made with Za bread which is made from Robert's special pizza dough recipe, cinnamon, whipped cream, and fresh berries; Huevos Rancheros Pizza with three fried eggs, chorizo, black beans, salsa verde, pico de gallo, and queso fresco; and Smoked Salmon Pizza with Ducktrap smoked salmon, capers, shallots, dill, grated eggs, and creme fraiche.

A cocktail menu offers Unlimited Mimosas featuring fresh OJ as well as other brunch drinks like the Strawberry Swoon with vodka, strawberry, sweet vermouth, and lime, Spicy V with tequila, Aperol, raspberry, mint, chili bitters, and a rose ice cube, and more.

  • The Rambler Kitchen + Tap

The Rambler in North Center will offer free trivia at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 hosted by Whaddayaknow. 

The Rambler will also host brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring $20 bottomless mimosas and $35 mimosa buckets. Brunch options include the scratch-made Country Biscuit topped country fried steak, sausage gravy, and an egg, pound cake Turtle French Toast, stuffed then topped with rich chocolate, caramel, chocolate chips, crushed pecans and fresh whipped cream, and The Rambler Scrambler with three scrambled eggs, red and green peppers, mushrooms, onions, ham, bacon, sausage, and cheddar, served with seasoned breakfast potatoes.

River North

  • Bassment

Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with Bassment’s exclusive Sunday night event on May 26, 8 p.m. - 2 a.m. The event will feature live music, a new summer cocktail menu, and more. Doors open at 8 p.m. with the band starting at 9 p.m. Free entry is available with RSVP on Eventbrite, while walk-ins can enter for $10. VIP tables are available for reservation. 

  • Siena Tavern

Siena Tavern will be open for brunch on Monday, May 27, starting 10 a.m. Guests can enjoy a variety of savory and sweet options at this restaurant. Highlights include the steak and eggs and the breakfast pizza. The short rib Benedict and the egg sandwich offer hearty choices. For a classic option, the Tavern omelette features a blend of fresh ingredients. For those with a sweet tooth, the ricotta pancake and the bomboloni bread pudding are must-tries. Brunch sips include house favorites such as the Bloody Mary and classic mimosa, along with refreshing options like cold brew coffee and espresso martinis.

West Loop/Fulton Market

  • Tetto

Tetto from Atomic Hospitality will reopen on Memorial Day Weekend, which is located on the rooftop at Tabú. You can expect the city views, food by Professor Pizza, and a lineup of summer cocktails.

  • Bodega Taqueria y Tequila

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila in West Loop invites everyone to an event lineup over the Memorial Day weekend. DJ SaviI will perform on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., followed by DJ Devin Lucien on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. The festivities culminate in a Baywatch-themed all-day party on Sunday, May 26, 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. over Memorial Day weekend. The celebration will feature food and drink specials, entertainment, and DJ sets by DJ Heavy from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Maximo from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Guests are encouraged to RSVP for the priority guest list before 10:30 p.m., with bottle service table reservations available upon request. Tickets can be purchased on Sevenrooms. 

  • Costera Cocina Tulum

Costera Cocina Tulum will host a Memorial Day brunch on May 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Patrons can celebrate the long weekend with brunch items such as cajeta crema pancakes, breakfast burritos, piña colada French toast, and more.

  • Nisos Prime

Prime Bar, an eatery and bar located on the main floor will be open on Memorial Day for brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner, 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. The menu features shareable starters, soups, salads, handheld sandwiches, house-made pastas, fresh seafood, and prime beef. The bar offers traditional cocktails, including spritzes and twists on classics like the Hugo and Amalfi, as well as European-inspired steakhouse drinks. The wine list showcases bottles from the Mediterranean and the Pacific Coast. 

  • Recess

Recess from Atomic Hospitality will host a party on Memorial Day weekend to sample Play Hard Vodka Seltzers from Playboy Spirits. The party takes place on May 25 from 2-10 p.m. and May 26 from 2-9 p.m. 

Play Hard at Recess will feature live DJs, photo ops, seltzer pong, yard games and activities throughout the weekend. The first 25 guests to arrive on May 25 and May 26 will receive Play Hard Playground gift bags. No reservations required.

West Town/Wicker Park

  • Easy Bar

Easy Bar will open at 4 p.m. on Memorial Day with half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. All night specials will include $4 Montucky Cold Snacks, $5 shots of Espolón Blanco, $5 Underberg and $9 beer and shot combos. 

Patrons who visit Easy Bar on Sunday, May 26 can also choose from $20 domestic beer buckets. Weather permitting, guests can use Easy Bar’s dog-friendly sidewalk patio with seating for 15 to 20 guests.

  • Estelle's

Estelle’s will open at 10 p.m. on Monday, May 27. Guests will be offered a late-night barbecue with half-price burgers built to grill and $5 domestics all evening. Estelle’s will also feature their Burger of the Month, a Pizza Burger, for $15 each which features a beef patty topped with mozzarella, pepperoni and marinara. 

  • Remedy

Remedy will open on Memorial Day at 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. $6 drafts will be available all evening along with new seasonal cocktails for $13 each like the Barbarella with gin, Aperol, Giffard Rhubarb, and lemon juice, and the Deadbeet Beat with Ketel One Vodka, New Deal Ginger Liqueur, orange, lemon, and Remedy’s house beet syrup.

Multiple Locations

  • Velvet Taco

Velvet Taco’s three Chicago locations offers 20 taco combinations, such as the Indian-inspired Spicy Chicken Tikka, and sidekicks, such as the namesake Red Velvet Cake and Frozen Kick-Ass Margaritas. The fast-casual restaurant curates a Weekly Taco Feature (known as the WTF), where a new taco creation is introduced to the multicultural menu each week. 

  • Old Town Pour House

This Memorial Day, May 27, Old Town Pour House will be serving its Rock N Roll Brunch at all locations from opening until 3 p.m. Brunch-goers can start with "Jon Bun Jovi" cinnamon rolls or "Donut Stop Believin'" doughnuts, and then rock on to mains like the "Sweet Child O’ Mine" French toast or "The Boss" steak and eggs. Roses and ‘mom’osa flights will be available as well. The Rock N Roll Brunch is available at at these locations: Oak Brook (8 Oak Brook Center), Naperville (1703 Freedom Drive), Chicago (1419 N. Wells St).

  • Old Town Pour House and Sweetwater Tavern

Bottleneck Hospitality’s Old Town Pour House and Sweetwater Tavern are extending the American Craft Beer Week this year to run from May 22 through May 28. The week-long event is designed to celebrate the culture of craft brewing, accompanied by food pairings. Patrons will have the opportunity to explore beyond their regular beer choices with a selection of 70 options as well as a limited-time offering of Italian Beef Mac N Cheese. Priced at $18.95, this dish features shaved rib eye, sweet peppers, caramelized onions, house-made giardiniera, and cavatappi pasta, all smothered in a beer cheese sauce and topped with a garlic herb crumble, thoughtfully paired with a local Dovetail Vienna Lager. The American Craft Beer Week special is available at at these locations: Sweetwater Tavern (225 N Michigan Ave), Chicago (1419 N. Wells St), Oak Brook (8 Oak Brook Center), Naperville (1703 Freedom Drive). 

  • The Hampton Social

The Hampton Social invites everyone to enjoy the long weekend with brunch until 3 p.m. this Memorial Day, May 27. The brunch menu features a selection of shareables, cold bar, soups, salads and bowls, sweets, The Hampton’s Brunch and specialty cocktails like Coopers Beach Morning Stroll, Bloody Mary, Hampton Frose as well as zero proof options. The Memorial Day brunch is available at the following locations: Chicago (River North and Streeterville), Burr Ridge, Skokie, South Barrington.

  • Bar Siena

Bar Siena West Loop and North Shore will be open for brunch on Monday, May 27, starting 10 a.m. Guests can enjoy a variety of savory and sweet options. Highlights include the short rib hash and breakfast pizza. The prosciutto and egg focaccia and the Bombo breakfast sandwich offer hearty choices. For a classic option, the Classico features scrambled eggs and parmesan potatoes. For those with a sweet tooth, the lemon ricotta pancake is recommended. Brunch sips include house favorites such as the Bloody Mary and the classic mimosa, along with cold-pressed juices like Verde and Zenzero.
