Mac’s Wood Grilled is featuring a lineup of New Orleans-inspired specials February 12 through February 16. Start your meal with Wood Grilled Chicken & Andouille Sausage Gumbo; this spin on the Louisiana classic is loaded with okra, red peppers, celery, onions, rice, cayenne, and gumbo file ($8, served with garlic bread). Additional Mardi Gras specials include a Blackened Chicken Po’ Boy with Miller Poultry Amish chicken breast ($14); a Wood-Grilled Andouille Sausage Po’ Boy with smoked andouille sausage ($14); and a Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy with buttermilk-marinated cornmeal fried shrimp ($16). All three sandwiches come on a fluffy Highland Baking Company telera roll with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, garlic dill pickles and housemade remoulade (served with Cajun fries). The Mardi Gras specials are offered regular business hours.
