The former Griswold's RV will be transformed into a masked float for the month on Clark Street. Featured events include:

  • VooDoo Wing Challenge, Feb. 21: Guests can test their hot wing eating abilities and eat your way to being named the French Korner Mardi Gras Wing King or Queen at the VooDoo Wing Challenge event on February 21 at 8pm. Starting at 11am, there will be two styles of crawfish offered - Cajun or Vietnamese - along with live music starting at noon for the Houndapolooza bash, for $40 per person. Chicago's only German and Southern-inspired restaurant is turning to their European neighbor to the east, Poland, for the upcoming Carnival and Mardi Gras holiday. Pastry Chef Rachel Slivicki bakes up her take on paczki in two varieties of the filled doughnuts, strawberry jam and vanilla bean custard, each sold for $4.

Stan's Donuts & Coffee

Stan's Donuts & Coffee will celebrate Mardi Gras by offering Paczki. Paczki, a pre-Lenten tradition originating in Poland, are filled donuts similar to bismarks but made with a richer egg dough. At Stan’s, paczki fillings include Vanilla Pastry Cream, Chocolate Pastry Cream, Cannoli Cream and Cherry. Stan’s Paczki are $2.99 each, $16.99 for a half-dozen and $32.99 for a dozen.
