Untitled Supper Club

Laissez les bons temps rouler. Untitled is celebrating Fat Tuesday, Feb. 25, NOLA-style with live music from Brother John Kattke, a vintage burlesque show produced by Michelle L'amore, Cajun-inspired specials from Executive Chef David Gebhardt and Big Easy Cocktails from Beverage Manager Kelly Dawson. Admission to this event is complimentary.

Houndstooth Saloon 

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 4, Houndstooth Saloon will transform into the French Korner at Houndstooth, bring a slice of the Big Easy to Wrigleyville with 21 days of Mardi Gras music, food, drink and merriment. The former Griswold's RV will be transformed into a masked float for the month on Clark Street. Featured events include:

  • VooDoo Wing Challenge, Feb. 21: Guests can test their hot wing eating abilities and eat your way to being named the French Korner Mardi Gras Wing King or Queen at the VooDoo Wing Challenge event on February 21 at 8pm. The $20 entrance fee includes unlimited wings and a carton of milk plus free entrance to the Wing Out Wing Fest, and a shot at winning the $100 cash prize and a surprise grand prize. Tickets are available through Eventbrite
  • All-You-Can-Eat Crawfish Boil, Feb. 22: Louisiana's Chef David Dickensauge created a cajun and creole inspired menu featured at Houndstooth throughout the month of February. On February 22, Chef Dickensauge throws an all-you-can-eat, handpicked-straight-from-Louisianna crawfish boil. Starting at 11am, there will be two styles of crawfish offered - Cajun or Vietnamese - along with live music starting at noon for the Houndapolooza bash, for $40 per person. Tickets to the event are available through Eventbrite.

Funkenhausen

Chicago's only German and Southern-inspired restaurant is turning to their European neighbor to the east, Poland, for the upcoming Carnival and Mardi Gras holiday. Pastry Chef Rachel Slivicki bakes up her take on paczki in two varieties of the filled doughnuts, strawberry jam and vanilla bean custard, each sold for $4. 

Stan's Donuts & Coffee

Stan's Donuts & Coffee will celebrate Mardi Gras by offering Paczki. Paczki, a pre-Lenten tradition originating in Poland, are filled donuts similar to bismarks but made with a richer egg dough. At Stan’s, paczki fillings include Vanilla Pastry Cream, Chocolate Pastry Cream, Cannoli Cream and Cherry. Stan’s Paczki are $2.99 each, $16.99 for a half-dozen and $32.99 for a dozen.

etta

The restaurant will be celebrating Mardi Gras on Tuesday, February 25 with a themed Fat Tuesday night encouraging guests to eat, drink and be merry. 

In tradition with the Mardi Gras King Cake, five babies will be "hidden'' in dishes throughout the evening. Those who find a baby will win an etta gift card. Adding to the fun, etta’s classic porron will be out and guests who can do the porron for 10+ seconds will win beads to celebrate.

GT Fish & Oyster

Celebrate Fat Tuesday (February 25) like a Southerner without leaving Chicago. GT Fish & Oyster, Chicago’s quintessential seafood spot, is offering a $16 special of a Hurricane cocktail (with light and dark Flor de Cana rum and passionfruit), served with two oyster po’boys.

The J. Parker 

Do Mardi Gras like a true New Orleanian-with a Hurricane in hand! The J. Parker is classing up this Mardi Gras staple with passionfruit and fresh orange syrup, and both light and dark rums. Sip this $10 sweet treat out of a coupe. 

Swift & Sons

The Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday festivities are treats from Swift & Sons’ dessert trolley. Choose from several Mardi Gras themed desserts including a “Hurricane'' flavored bon bon, chocolate filled beignet, king cake, pecan praline or mini Paczki. Available February 22 - 28th.

Devereaux

The restaurant is hosting a cajun-style crawfish boil the Sunday before Mardi Gras kicks off. Your purchase includes four drink tickets in addition to a belly full of crawfish, corn, and potatoes. We’re also partnering with Louisiana-based Abita Brewing to showcase two of their signature brews: Abita Strawberry and Abita Purple Haze. Or you can go for a New Orleans-classic with a homemade Hurricane or Sazerac. Available Sunday, February 23d from 1pm-4pm
