Manila Zoo: Chicagoland (Workshop 4200, 4200 W Diversey Ave) is back to immerse attendees in Filipino-American culture—and for the first time ever will feature a real-life Jeepney (a symbol of Filipino culture). The weekend will include cuisine, entertainment, and a celebration of heritage.
Explore an array of 40+ food and market vendors, including Abakada (Chi), The Boiis Co (NYC), SALAMAT Cookies! (IND), and more.
Live music and entertainment will feature local talents such as Jake Gatsby (Chi - @myhomiejake), DJ Funk (Chicago Bulls), Brvthers Keeper (Chi), DJ Zel (White Sox), @Deneza_ (Chi), and more.
"Manila Zoo: Chicagoland is more than a celebration; it's a vibrant Filipino-American cultural renaissance. We're inspired to create a space where we can joyfully relive cherished memories, unite our communities, and bask in the nostalgia of the Philippines. This year, alongside our amazing food and entertainment, we're making history by bringing the first authentic Jeepney to the heart of Chicago," says Mike Williams II, founder of SALAMAT Cookies! and event organizer.
The festival is taking place on the following days and hours with an afterparty on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM:
