The color pink is extremely prevalent in October and people begin to seek new ways to contribute to the fight against breast cancer. This October, Bodega (355 North Clark Street), BomboBar (1529 N. Wells St. and 832 W. Randolph St.) and Prime & Provisions of DineAmic Hospitality, will be participating in Breast Cancer Awareness month by donating proceeds from their exclusive, month-long offers to the Lynn Sage Foundation; a Chicago-based organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for innovative research on the disease.
Known for Top Chef alum Fabio Viviani’s house-made bomboloni doughnuts, BomboBar will be hosting a "Bombos for Boobies" campaign in October. Using the symbolic color pink, Chef Viviani’s Italian eatery will craft a special Strawberry Cheesecake Bomboloni sold in a pack of two for $6. A portion of the proceeds from “Bombos for Boobies” purchases will be donated to the Lynn Sage Foundation.
Bodega will be partnering with BomboBar to host the "Breast Friends" campaign and will offer the Bomboloni at the Clark St. storefront. Through October, guests can order the "Breast Friends" package for $6, consisting of Bodega's authentic Mexican churro and BomboBar’s exclusive October Bomboloni flavor, Strawberry Cheesecake. Not only does the "Breast Friends" combination utilize the emblematic color pink, but each churro comes in the shape of the memorable ribbon, with proceeds of each package to be contributed to the Lynn Sage Foundation.
Prime & Provisions
Contributing to the cause, every Sunday in October, Prime & Provisions (222 North LaSalle Street) will be offering bottomless roséto its bottomless drink option during brunch. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. guests will not only be receiving endless pours of the dry and crisp rosé, Côtes de Provence Rosé for $20, but simultaneously contributing to Breast Cancer Awareness Month as a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Lynn Sage Foundation.
In addition to being able to make an impact by purchasing a bottomless rosé package, guests can elevate their Sunday with a brunch spread. Bottomless is one component to the meal but adding it to an all-you-can-eat buffet including an endless raw bar of oysters and crab legs pairing with the rosé, as well as desserts like Mini Banana Cream pies, is another sweet way to close out a weekend in October.
