Luna’s Pub & Grill is making the most of summer on Lake Michigan with a full calendar of outdoor entertainment, live music and lakefront dining on Northwestern University’s campus.
Situated along Cohen Lawn, Luna’s has become a gathering place for students, faculty, North Shore residents and visitors drawn to its elevated pub fare, expansive waterfront patio and community programming. This summer, guests can enjoy free family movie nights, live music during weekday lunch and the recently launched Sunday Brunch.

Luna’s Pub & Grill and Northwestern’s Norris University Center invite the community to Cohen Lawn for a series of free outdoor movie screenings under the stars.
Family-friendly activities, including glitter artists and complimentary glow sticks, begin the evening, while a special Luna’s menu will be available for purchase on-site. Check-in begins at 6:30 p.m., with each film starting at dusk. The July lineup includes:
WALL-E — July 16
Turning Red — July 23
Mulan — July 30
Lunch on the Lake with Live Music
Luna’s will debut Lunch on the Lake in August, pairing live performances and lunch specials with lake breezes and waterfront views. Performances will take place from noon to 1:15 p.m. and include:
Saxophonist Skinny Williams — August 5
The Nikki O’Neill Trio — August 12
Williams is a celebrated Chicago saxophonist known for his soulful sound, while singer-songwriter Nikki O’Neill and her trio bring a blend of soul, blues and roots music to the lakefront.
A New Waterfront Brunch Destination
The recently launched Sunday Brunch at Luna’s gives guests another reason to linger by the lake, with a menu that moves easily between sweet and savory, breakfast favorites and hearty lunchtime fare.
Highlights include Salted French Toast Sticks served with crème anglaise and togarashi maple syrup; Five Spice Snickerdoodle Donut Holes with crème anglaise; Smoked Brisket Hash with roasted poblano, red potato hash, eggs over easy, onion and cilantro crema; Ancient Grains and Street Corn salads; and Luna’s Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich with pepper jack cheese, garlic mayo, local hot honey, coleslaw and pickles.
Sunday Brunch is served weekly from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Luna’s was designed as a connected, community destination, with the patio, pavilion and lawn flowing naturally into the pub itself,” said Byron Williams, Vice President of Operations, Chartwells Higher Education Dining. “Movie nights, live performances on Cohen Lawn and other seasonal activities add even more energy to the experience. Our goal is to create a welcoming gathering place for students, visitors and Chicagoland residents throughout the year, and summer on the lake gives us an especially exciting opportunity to bring that vision to life.”
Luna’s Pub & Grill is located inside Northwestern University’s Norris University Center at 1999 Campus Drive in Evanston.
