A Closer Look

Lawry’s The Prime Rib (100 E. Ontario St.), former home to one of the most unusual bygone restaurants, the Kungsholm, hosts a night of nibbles and nostalgia for the launch of Greg Borzo’s latest book, Lost Restaurants of Chicago, on Thursday, March 7. The evening begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m. with bites from Lawry’s The Prime Rib such as Mini Prime Rib Sliders, Spinning Bowl Salad, Mini Chicago Hot Dogs, Arancini, and Crab Cakes. Then, award-winning author Greg Borzo and special guest, Hot Doug’s Doug Sohn, lead a discussion about Chicago’s most colorful and quirky restaurants and how these dining institutions have impacted the dining scene today. A book signing will follow at the end of the program.
