LondonHouse Chicago is welcoming fall with a full calendar of seasonal experiences. Guests can watch football from LH Rooftop, raise one final toast to summer, enjoy a Día de los Muertos-inspired afternoon tea and celebrate Halloween across two floors of the downtown hotel.

Football Season Takes Over LH Rooftop

LH Rooftop is offering a scenic spots to watch football this fall, pairing the action on its large-format screen with lounge seating, a full bar and sweeping river and skyline views. Guests can catch marquee college matchups on Saturdays, Chicago Bears games on Sundays and select weeknights, and additional games upon request. Forever Summer Keeps Rooftop Season Going September 22

LondonHouse Chicago will give summer one last sendoff with its Forever Summer celebration on Tuesday, September 22, from 11 a.m. to close. The all-day rooftop event will feature 25% off lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., live DJs, giveaways and surprises, plus a complimentary Veuve Clicquot toast at 5 p.m. Guests can stop in for a final al fresco lunch of the season or stay through sunset as the city transitions into fall. Walk-ins are welcome; reservations are recommended for a guaranteed table. 

Día de los Muertos Afternoon Tea Debuts for Fall

From September 28 through November 1, LondonHouse Chicago's signature Bridges River Vista Afternoon Tea will transform for the season with a limited-time Día de los Muertos Afternoon Tea. Served in Bridges Lobby Bar with sweeping Chicago River views, the menu pairs the tradition of afternoon tea with Mexican-inspired flavors and seasonal touches.

Savory selections include Barbacoa en Platano with braised short rib, fried plantain, cotija and pickled red onion; Pollo con Mole Negro Sope; and Salpicón de Res Tostada. Pastry Chef Thomas Gorczyca's sweets range from conchas, pumpkin empanadas and Mexican wedding cookies to La Catrina dark chocolate cake with ancho chile ganache, a mangonada bar and cinnamon churros. The experience is $100 per adult, with a $50 Kids Tea featuring bites and sweets including Mummy's Pigs in a Blanket, a bean-and-cheese empanada and a Sugar Skull Popsicle. Reservations are recommended. 

Nightmare on Wacker Drive Returns October 31

On Saturday, October 31, LondonHouse Chicago will host Nightmare on Wacker Drive: Día de los Muertos, a 21-and-over Halloween party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The celebration will span LH Rooftop and the indoor LH on 21 lounge, with immersive décor, live DJs and a premium hosted bar throughout the evening.

At midnight, guests can compete in a costume contest, with an overnight LondonHouse stay and two New Year's Eve party tickets awarded to the first-place winner and two New Year's Eve party tickets awarded to the runner-up. Tickets are available online. 

Oktoberfest Flavors Arrive at LH Rooftop

Oktoberfest Flavors Arrive at LH Rooftop From September 16 through October 4, LH Rooftop will serve a limited-time Oktoberfest Burger featuring a Slagel Family Farm beef patty, Emmentaler cheese, Black Forest ham, housemade honey-beer mustard, caramelized onions and bread-and-butter pickles on a pretzel bun ($24).

Rudolph’s Rooftop Winter Igloos Return 

As temperatures drop, LH Rooftop will transform once again into Rudolph’s Rooftop, a winter retreat featuring private, fully enclosed heated igloos for up to six guests. Surrounded by twinkling lights and holiday décor, guests can enjoy seasonal cocktails and bites while taking in sweeping views of the Chicago River, Magnificent Mile and city skyline. 

Joining the menu this season is a shareable Pretzel Board featuring a housemade pretzel, two charcuterie meats and cheese, Bavarian butter-cheese spread, fruit preserves, mustard, pickled vegetables and fresh fruit ($32), with beer-cheese dipping sauce available for an additional $5. The board will be offered throughout the winter igloo season.
